Yuji was completely exhausted.

All the energy he had left had already been completely used up, so that only ashes remained.

He had burned everything he had.

But it was far from over.

Just one fight, he needed to resist just one more fight, and finally, it would all be over.

Even if his body refused, he would deny his desires. Even if his body gave in, he would rise again.

Because his goal was right in front of him.

.

"He's exhausted."

In the infirmary, Hanafusa declared to Kazuo Yamashita, the old man moving his gaze to find Yuji with his head down on the hospital bed.

"He don't have a single drop of energy left. If you care about your nephew's life, you'd better try to make him give up, or he'll surely die in his next fight."

Kazuo gritted his teeth as he listened to the doctor, his fist closing hard enough to mark his fragile skin.

"I understand, Doctor Hanafusa. Thank you."

Nodding in agreement, Hanafusa turned to tend to the other patients, leaving Kazuo Yamashita alone with his own thoughts.

Kazuo had already tried to get Yuji to change his mind, but it was more than obvious that the boy wasn't going to change his mind.

Real fighters were used to the fact that they could die in a fight, and they embraced this truth without any fear. Death would never make them back down, because they had their convictions to keep them on their feet.

Kazuo knew this and understood.

So he wouldn't try to change his nephew's mind.

As his uncle, it was her job to support him, more than ever since he had gone a long time without doing so.

He trusted Yuji's strength and knew that he wouldn't die because he had people to return to.

If you asked Kazuo which fighter he was rooting for to be victorious in the final, most businessmen would find it strange.

Because between the two of them, Kazuo didn't care about the title of winner.

He just wanted them both to come back safe.

.

Lying on the floor, Yuji sighed when he felt delicate fingers squeeze his shoulders, serenity appearing on his features when he opened his eyes to find Karura and Elena massaging his body.

Both girls were quite different in their reactions to the fact that they were giving him a massage, since Karura had an excited expression as she skillfully massaged the boy, unlike Elena, who looked extremely embarrassed as she tried to do her best.

"Thank you very much for that, girls."

Relaxing with the tightness in his muscles, Yuji gave them both a grateful smile.

"No need to thank me! All for my fiancé!" With an excited smile, Karura hugged Yuji's head, before returning to her massage session.

"You're welcome!" Resembling a kettle about to explode, Elena nodded as she continued to massage him as best she could.

After a short conversation with his uncle about his condition, Yuji walked alone to his rest room, where the girls were gathered waiting for him.

Realizing how tired he was, Karura immediately suggested a massage, which Yuji readily accepted. He was in no condition to back down from anything that would bring relief to his muscles.

It was funny how, having been accepted, Karura pulled Elena against her will so that she could help her, which resulted in the whole current situation.

"It looks like you're enjoying this, doesn't it?" Senju commented as she looked at that scene with a raised eyebrow, which made Yuji turn to her with a teasing smile.

"What's wrong? Do you want to help? Come on, I've got muscles to spare." Teasing her, Yuji let out a laugh as Senju just looked away while crossing her arms. "Ouch!"

But stopping his laughter when a shock of pain ran through all his muscles, Yuji was discouraged.

Hiyama, who was focused on the screen in the living room, frowned as the images from the arena showed the crowd getting more and more excited for the final match.

The time span from the semi-final to the final was quite short, two hours to be precise, and Yuji had spent an hour and a half in the infirmary, receiving the best possible treatment before fighting again.

But it was still far from enough for the boy to recover, Hiyama knew, and she couldn't help but worry.

Ohma, despite also being injured, was a formidable opponent, and in terms of exhaustion, Yuji was certainly worse off than him, after all, the boy had faced two opponents who alone could sweep the left block of the tournament.

If Hiyama had to make a guess, she'd say it would be a fairly even fight.

From 1 to 10, if Ohma at his peak had a power of 8/10, and Yuji 10/10, at this point they would both be equalized with a power of 1/10.

There was no doubt that the winner would be the one who had been able to store up the most energy.

"By the way, where's Kou?" Suddenly, Yuji seemed to notice that the little girl had disappeared.

"She's helping Mokichi to the stands." Senju simply replied, getting up and walking over to stand in front of Yuji and sitting down. "Hiyama, how much longer do we have before the next match starts?"

Hiyama raised an eyebrow when he heard the girl's question, his eyes flicking to his watch before returning to her.

"15 minutes."

"That's good." Senju cracked a smile, which made Yuji look at her curiously.

"What? You already want me to go back to the arena? Yo-"

!

With some teasing coming out of his mouth, the boy's eyes widened in surprise when Senju interrupted him by sealing his lips with a kiss, which caused the other girls to turn to the two of them in complete surprise.

"Score ten!" Snapping out of his stupor, Karura raised his thumb positively.

But in contrast, Elena's mouth dropped open in shock, her face turning a deep shade of red as their kiss intensified for a moment before Senju pulled away.

Hiyama pursed his lips as he looked away, his cheeks taking on a reddish color.

"Since that kiss, you haven't had time to talk to us about our relationship." Senju began, Yuji pushing away his initial shock at the girl's initiative to focus on her words. "But know, that I don't care about that. We love you, and that's all that matters."

Swallowing dryly as the girl approached again, Yuji jumped the gun this time.

He didn't expect that from Senju. Karura for sure, but Senju was out of the question. So it was quite shocking when she took the initiative to say that she didn't mind him having relationships with several girls.

But unfortunately, this whole situation could not continue.

"Preparations have begun." Breaking the mood, Hiyama suddenly announced, everyone's attention turning to the screen, which showed Sayaka preparing to start the last fight.

"I guess we'll have to leave that conversation for later." Yuji stood up, which caused Karura to pout in frustration. "Sorry about that, girls."

Elena nodded at his words, her mind seemingly still on the scene from seconds ago.

"Uh?"

But just as Yuji was about to move out of the room, he noticed that Senju had disappeared from in front of him, his eyes moving around the room, before landing on the girl's back, who was leaning her arm on the wall while her breathing seemed uneven.

"I did it... I did it. I told him."

Listening to her mutter, Yuji blinked a few times before smiling.

'She seems to have gathered a lot of courage for that.'
