____Narration____

From the association president's office, Katahara, Erioh and Tokugawa watched Yuji's entrance in silence. The old men seemed occupied with their own thoughts about this confrontation, and at the moment, they weren't sharing them with each other.

But that soon changed when, after a few seconds of pure silence, Tokugawa decided to share his own thoughts.

"So finally Metsudo's next Fangs is going to fight a tough opponent. Are you nervous, Katahara? After all, it won't be a good thing if the boy is defeated easily." Tokugawa rubbed his chin as he watched Yuji position himself in front of Kuroki.

"Nervous? Why would I be? I trust Agito's choice. Whether the boy wins or not won't change anything." But Katahara didn't seem the least bit worried by the old fighting enthusiast's questions, answering calmly. "Besides, this boy comes from a line of powerful warriors, so don't think it's going to be as easy for Kuroki as it was against that young Setsuna."

"Oh, yes. You mentioned something about the boy's family being descended from a powerful lineage." Tokugawa immediately became interested in the story when he sensed a similarity with a story he knew well. "Tell me more."

"Haha! But of course! It's not really a secret!" Katahara laughed at Tokugawa's quick interest, turning to the old man to begin. "Erioh, would you do the honors? After all, you have greater knowledge than I do."

The patriarch of the Kure clan frowned as he listened to Katahara, but seeing how interested the two old men seemed to be in listening to him, he just sighed in annoyance and turned to them both.

"The Yamashita clan was a warrior clan about 500 years ago. The members of this clan were allies of the Kure clan, and they lived together very well." Erioh began the story, and the two old men seemed to become even more interested. "They were known for their superhuman cognitive abilities, which surpassed even those of us from the Kure clan."

"They weren't a clan of assassins, but even so, their best warriors were capable of rivaling our best at the time, in other words, it was a clan full of potential. That's why the patriarchs didn't allow clan members to have romantic relationships, as they believed that children who inherited the physical and cognitive abilities of both clans could unbalance the world with their monstrous power."

"But that changed when the future matriarch of the Kure clan fell in love with the strongest warrior of the Yamashita clan. The idea was to merge both clans after their marriage."

"Oh, a beautiful love story, then." Tokugawa spoke, but Katahara signaled for him to wait.

"Unfortunately, one fateful night, the entire Yamashita clan was wiped out by a mysterious creature, a red demon, who hunted down every last one of them, leaving only one family who took refuge in our clan."

"I think I spoke too soon..." Listening to the rest of the story, Tokugawa rubbed the back of his neck in shame.

"Now we're here, watching what's left of the old Yamashita clan fight." Erioh said this with a bit of venom in his tone, and Katahara immediately noticed, a mocking smile appearing on his old face.

"What is it, Erioh? Are you angry that the wedding that took 500 years can finally happen? It's like fate." Katahara held back his laughter when he saw the patriarch's face fill with fury.

"Don't be an idiot! I don't believe such nonsense! Besides, I promised Karura that she could marry the boy only if he won the tournament, so I'm not worried about that at all." Erioh looked furious, but as he spoke, he calmed down to take a few slow deep breaths.

"Hahaha! I wouldn't count on it, old man! Maybe things won't turn out the way you expect!"

"Shut up! Even if Yuji somehow wins this match, he certainly won't be healthy enough to beat Kanoh."

"Well, you have a point, but I wouldn't chant victory too soon, after all, we don't know what the boy has up his sleeve." Tokugawa pointed out, which made Erioh grit his teeth.

"Okay, I think that's enough. How about we watch the fight? After all, it's not something we'd want to miss."

Listening to Katahara talk between laughs, the old men nodded and finally calmed down, their attention turning to the arena, where Yuji and Kuroki were getting ready.

.

In the arena, Yuji and Kuroki stared at each other intensely, the younger man jumping to warm up his muscles, a slight smile on his face, in a clear counterpart to the old master, who had seriousness in his features.

"You're strong, kid. I admit it." Kuroki began, which made Yuji look at him curious at his words. "But don't think you'll be able to take me on without giving it your all."

"Ready?!"

Yuji sighed at the karate master's words, his expression hardening as he closed his fists and got into a fighting stance.

"It's an honor to be called strong by you, Mr. Kuroki." Sincere in his words, Yuji regulated his breathing while adjusting minute details in his posture. "But I don't need someone pointing out the obvious."

Keeping silent, Kuroki nodded as he took his own karate stance, his face darkening as the referee was about to start the match.

"I see, so I'll keep my words."

"Thank you."

Feeling every muscle in his body anticipating the fight, Yuji lowered his stance slightly, making it clear that he intended to advance at the start of the fight.

'Sorry about that, Mr. Kuroki. But the only conversation I wish to have at the moment is with our fists.

"Start!!!"
