____Narration____
Recovering his memories was rewarding.
Remembering his past, all his training with Niko, all his teachings, gave him a sense of tranquility.
And tranquility was something he had not felt for a long time.
It was a shame that this had happened so soon.
But he wouldn't be angry about that, after all, it was due to his own stubbornness that prevented him from recovering his memories earlier, so all he had to do was accept his fate and move on, until the end.
Even if it was for a small amount of time, he could tell.
Ohma Tokita was back, stronger than ever.
!
Awakening, Ohma sat up with a slow movement, his vision adjusting to the scene for a few seconds before he turned forward, his eyes landing on the back of a familiar Kazuo Yamashita.
'What's going on?' he wondered as he stood up, the numb feeling in his limbs bothering him a little.
"Yuji, calm down!"
He heard Yamashita ask, which made him raise his eyebrow in curiosity.
Moving forward, Ohma immediately noticed three unconscious girls, recognizing them as the same ones who had accompanied Yuji Shinakawa all along.
'An attack?'
Placing herself next to Kazuo, startling him in the process, Ohma was surprised by the scene, her brow furrowing almost immediately.
Yuji punched a man repeatedly in the face, and considering his deformed face, he seemed to have been doing this for some time.
Ohma didn't understand the motives behind this, but taking into consideration the three unconscious girls, the beaten man was probably the one causing all this. With the little contact he had had with Yuji, Ohma realized that the boy was a good person, so he couldn't see him hurting any of the girls.
But that didn't mean that he would let it continue. It was all right to vent his anger, but there was no point in continuing to kick a dead dog.
"Hey, kid." Moving to stand behind him, Ohma placed her hand on his shoulder, which immediately caused him to turn his head to face her, the older fighter surprising himself with the murderous intent suddenly directed at him. "He's already dead, that's enough."
Yuji stared at Ohma for several seconds, silence reigning throughout, before the boy lifted the guardian by the neck and hurled him toward the wall with enough force that the collision shook the entire structure of the warehouse.
Ohma nodded with satisfaction. He had no intention of judging the boy, since he himself had already taken a few lives of some idiots he had encountered.
Watching the boy calm down, Ohma looked around to see Mokichi Robinson's sister trying to wake up the three girls.
"Uncle Kazuo." He heard Yuji begin, his attention returning to the promising fighter. "Help me get the girls to the infirmary, the raid seems to be over."
He asked, but didn't expect an answer as he turned and moved to the girls, bending down to look at them.
When he started talking to Elena, Ohma turned to Kazuo, who was wiping the sweat from his face.
"What happened while I was away?"
.
It was the end of the invasion. After having all his plans successfully thwarted, Hayami Katsumasa had been captured and kept in a cell together with his accomplices.
The bodyguards, with the help of the Kure clan and other mercenaries hired by Katahara, had beaten off the guardians' numerical advantage.
In the face of all this trouble, only two losses had been accounted for, two bodyguards, killed by an unknown enemy.
Yuji, who had been in the infirmary since then, kept looking after the girls while the fighters began to celebrate that they had stopped the invasion.
Even though none of them had suffered severe damage, he still felt guilty. If he had taken a little longer, he might not even have been able to save them.
Therefore, he did not even try to contradict Erioh Kure, who after hearing about his injured granddaughter, literally ran towards the infirmary.
"You idiot! How can you let my granddaughter be hurt like this? I should rip your head off for this!" The Kure clan patriarch was furious with Yuji, to the point of letting his powerful aura escape from his body. "Never! I will never allow Karura to marry someone who can't even protect her!"
"Grandpa, calm down! I'm fine!" Karura tried to calm him down. Much of her body was bandaged with bandages, but she didn't look the least bit weakened, this due to the genetics of her clan. "It's not his fault!"
"Like hell!"
Erioh stared at Yuji for several seconds, his murderous intent, though powerful, not seeming to affect the young fighter.
Seeing this made him sigh. Even though he didn't like the boy, he had to admit that he was too strong for his age. He would be lying if he said he wasn't satisfied with Karura's choice, but that didn't mean he wasn't angry because of what had happened.
After all, Karura was with him, the least he should do is protect her.
"What happened to the bastard who attacked her?" He looked him straight in the eye, Yuji returning the gaze as his expression hardened.
"He's dead."
Erioh remained silent. There was no need to question him about it. As the most experienced member of the Kure clan, he knew how to distinguish the lie from the truth, and the boy in front of him was being sincere in saying his words.
He was satisfied with that.
"Okay." Turning around, Erioh began walking toward the exit of the infirmary. "Karura, get well, don't you dare leave this place before you are allowed to."
Karura pouted, crossing her arms as she sat down on one of the beds in the infirmary.
"And you." He turned to Yuji. "Take good care of her this time."
"..."
Yuji nodded, a sigh escaping his lips as Erioh disappeared from sight.
He had to admit, the old man had a powerful aura, even though he looked like he could barely stand.
Turning around, he observed Elena caring for Senju, Kou, and Hiyama, who had not yet awakened. His gaze softened at this, and this seemed to get the attention of Karura, who walked over to him and hugged him from behind.
"Don't blame yourself. The important thing is that you caught up with us in the end." She tried to cheer him up, and Yuji could appreciate that.
But it was still a bit annoying to think that even though he was able to move faster than a bullet, he still let this happen. Even though he wasn't able to be in more than one place at the same time, it was still unacceptable that it had taken him so long to find them.
'There's no point in dwelling on it.' With a sigh, he turned his attention back to the girls, completely ignoring Karura, who was biting his ear. 'Next time something like this happens, I just need to anticipate in case I can't protect them.
'And I'm going to start by taking those four to practice.'
*Kiss*
Feeling Karura's lips on his cheek, he sighed.
'Those five.'
