____Narration____

When Setsuna was announced as the winner of his fight against Nikaido, Yuji was walking the halls, exploring the arena's facilities just out of curiosity. It was a way to pass the time, since the only matches he felt like watching was Kaneda and Kanoh's fight. The others, despite giving him a chance to copy some techniques, didn't capture his interest.

So walking through the corridors was far more interesting than watching boring fights. At least in his eyes.

"..."

As he walked, he couldn't ignore the strange feeling that there was someone watching him, and this coming from his senses naturally meant exactly what he imagined.

But taking into consideration everything that was going on under the table during this tournament, it wouldn't be uncommon for them to try to hurt him or get as much information as possible, after all, his performance in the fight against Mikazuchi had been one of the best of the first round, and that made the fighters very wary of him. The businessmen, especially those who wanted power at all costs, would surely try to hit him in some way.

But this did not scare him, since Elena, Senju and Kou were together with Karura. Except for Elena, the rest were more than enough to beat any mercenary or fighter on average. Karura could probably even tire out some of the strongest in the tournament, so as for the safety of the people he cared about, he couldn't be more relaxed.

'Besides, Uncle Kazuo is with Ohma, so there aren't many people on the island who could do him any harm.'

"!"

Feeling a sudden tingling sensation, Yuji with imperceptible speed moved his hand to the front of his neck, his fingers catching what looked like a needle thrown in his direction from the hallway beside him.

'Such a brazen assassination attempt? Whoever gave the order must be going crazy.'

Yuji thought with annoyance, his eyes moving to where the needle had been thrown just long enough to see a silhouette flee down the hall. Determined to follow the one responsible for trying to kill him, he was about to run, but a sudden apparition held him back for the moment.

"Hey! You're Yuji!"

A voice drew his attention to the source, his eyes landing on an Imai Cosmo who was walking toward him next to Adam Dudley.

For a moment, he thought about simply ignoring the fighter and getting back to what he was about to do, but that was put aside when Imai stopped in front of him and raised his hand to greet him.

"It's a pleasure! Man, you fought well! I could barely keep up with the moves of that Mikazuchi Rei." Imai spoke with enthusiasm.

Yuji seeing this, just shook his hand in greeting. As much as he wanted to follow the person responsible for attacking him, the opportunity to talk to Imai Cosmo was something quite tempting, since after arriving on the island, he had barely talked to the fighters, exchanging a few words here and there.

If he had the chance, he would want to train at least once with Imai. It would be a good way to compare the level of Jiujitsu between the two.

The matter with the assassin could be solved later, since he had memorized his aura, so finding him later would be quite easy.

"It's a pleasure too. I have watched several of your fights, I would love to practice sparring when you are free." Yuji replied with a friendly smile.

"Really? That would be great, it would make me even more prepared for my departure tomorrow!"

"Same for me."

"Sure, sure! How about now? We're not doing anything anyway, are we, Adam?"

Adam, who was just observing the situation with a bored expression, just shrugged with a click of his tongue. The man looked like someone grumpy , a personality that Yuji could compare to Osanai.

"Then it's settled! Let's go!" Imai exclaimed, turning around as he waved for Yuji to follow him.

The teenager looking at the young fighter's back, sighed as he sketched a small smile. Imai looked a lot like Shiki, so he had a feeling that if the two of them met, they would get along well.

'By the way, I need to see how that boy is doing...'

.

.

.

Sitting in an armchair, in a room with a privileged view of the whole arena, Hayami Katsumasa looked at the stadium with an inexpressive face.

Beep.

"Sir, as expected, Yuji Shinakawa is a target incapable of killing himself by conventional means." A voice sounded from a wire in Katsumasa's ear, who upon hearing the voice of his subordinate, just cracked a dangerous smile.

"All right, leave him alone." The man replied, his eyes moving to arena as his smile disappeared from his lips.

'Yuji Shinakawa doesn't matter. He's just a piece in this game, he can't compromise my plan.' He thought, his attention turning to the audience, where he could see the businessmen along with the fighters. 'They all are. No one can stop me, after all, it's all already premeditated.'

A powerful pressure escaped from the man's body, causing even his bodyguards to sweat with the pressure exerted on the surroundings.

"The fall of that old fool will happen on this island."

.

In the vip room where Katahara Metsudo was watching the fights, the old man suddenly scratched his ear as he turned his gaze upwards.

"Uh? Something wrong?" Tokugawa, who was sitting next to him, asked curiously.

"..." Katahara didn't answer right away, his eyes darting forward as he continued to scratch his ear.

"I think someone is talking bad about me."
