[Wait... It's just that... Yuji is going boxing?!] Sayaka asked with surprise, Jerry Tyson, who for some unknown reason was commenting on the fights along with her, quickly responding with the same enthusiasm.

[That's surprisingly! We've seen how fast Mikazuchi can be, I would say that using boxing against him doesn't seem to be something effective].

In the arena, Mikazuchi looked at the boy in that stance with caution in his eyes. In these quick exchanges of blows, it was clear that Yuji was no amateur, and knew how to think quickly to deal with superior speed. Rei noticed this in his flesh, which made him quite wary of the boy's new approach, since using pure boxing against him was without a doubt one of the worst approaches Yuji could have.

'He must be trying to trick me.' Rei thought, he pressed his feet into the ground as he prepared to move forward. 'But I won't fall into his trap.'

Boom!

Vanishing before the eyes of the audience and leaving only a blur behind that soon vanished into thin air, Mikazuchi advanced toward Yuji, the boy bracing himself as he jumped, his left arm swinging freely in preparation to strike at any moment.

Rei, who prepared to attack, took the fighters by surprise when he passed Yuji without effecting a blow, showing that his advance served only to deceive the boy, he turning and advancing in a burst of speed again.

"!"

Turning around, Yuji realized that he would have no way to defend himself from the attack long enough, but he didn't seem to despair at this, his eyes wide as he awaited Mikazuchi's approach, which swept the distance between the two faster than the blink of an eye.

Boom!

And the moment Mikazuchi reached him, Yuji didn't have to attack. No...

He only needed to place his fist exactly where Mikazuchi would be, and that was more than enough to do considerable damage to the fighter's face, who collided with his fist at his extreme speed, his body flying through the air before falling to the ground with a thud.

This was the pre-initiative, which like his master, Yuji had enough mastery to use it in battle.

"Ugh...!" Mikazuchi groaned and spat blood, quickly throwing himself away as a fist struck the ground where he was standing.

Yuji, who didn't want to give the fighter a chance to regain his confused senses due to the damage to his head, quickly moved forward when he tried to escape, sweeping the distance between the two in an instant before launching ten jabs at his torso and face, hitting most of the blows while Mikazuchi was able to dodge some of them.

'I'm being pressured...' Despite his confused mind, Mikazuchi could still discern what was happening, his eyes narrowing as he tried to block a wave of punches that came from various directions, the attacks with enough force to cause damage he couldn't ignore. 'I can't go on like this or...'

Blocking a punch from Yuji, the Mikazuchi regulated his breathing in the face of the flurry of attacks, his brow furrowing as he grabbed Yuji's wrist just as he was about to retract his arm.

'I won't be able to get back to her quickly.'

Yuji, who saw his wrist being suddenly grabbed, immediately prepared for an attack.

"!"

But no matter how much he prepared himself, he could not expect the sudden change in his opponent's approach.

Boom! Boom! Boom!

With his left arm, Mikazuchi launched several blows at his face, his absurd speed penetrating the boy's weakened defense thanks to his wrist being grabbed, the attacks hitting precisely vital points such as the chin, below the nose, and center of the forehead.

Even if Mikazuchi was not as strong as Yuji, the speed of his blows were more than enough to cover this disadvantage, increasing the power of his punches.

And knowing this full well, the moment Rei landed his three punches, he had confidence that the fight was won, after all, no one before had been able to handle this combination at the three vital points. Sure, he had reduced the strength of the technique enough that it wouldn't kill, but that didn't change how decisive the attack was if it hit hard enough.

And with confidence of his victory, he let go of his opponent's wrist, Yuji's body staggering toward him in a sign that he was no longer conscious.

Rei seeing this, didn't care much if the boy fell flat on his face, he just wanted to get back to his beloved.

"..."

So thanks to his distraction with the thought of returning to Rino's arms, he didn't even notice when Yuji interrupted his fall by stabilizing his body in an instant, the Mikazuchi already turning to leave.

'Uh? Didn't the referee finish the fight? Did he not process what happened?' The man thought, he turned his attention back to the referee. 'Wh-'

Boom!

Interrupting his thoughts, Mikazuchi was suddenly hit with a punch to the side of his face, his body being pushed away before he interrupted the movement with his feet.

'What?!' Rolling his eyes as he felt an intense pain on his face, he turned to the person responsible for attacking him, seeing a head-down Yuji as he seemed to wipe away some of the blood running down his nose. 'Is he still conscious?!'

"Ugh..." Yuji muttered, him blowing his nose and expelling the blood that was pooling in his nostril. "That was a great technique... It knocked me out for a few seconds."

The teenager spoke with a serene tone, but one that made Mikazuchi immediately raise his guard, sweat beading down his forehead as he watched the boy raise his head to face him.

"I thank you, Mister Mikazuchi..." Yuji spoke, this leaving Rei confused, wondering why the boy was thanking him. "It's been a while since I've felt that feeling."

Raising his head completely, Yuji had an expression that outlined serenity, but thanks to his eyes staring intensely at his opponent, it was clear that he was not calm.

"That feeling of evolve ."
