Chapter 11 - Chapter Eleven: I wish I was...

Cassie went into the other toilet opposite the one Jenny is in to clean herself up.

Don't be angry Cassie. Abigail said trying to calm Cassie.

To be honest am not surprised, I am shocked Aby...shocked!!!. Cassandra said while trying to clean up her shirt but was not too successful as the stain had dried up, so she gave up trying to completely get the stain out.

As Cassie was walking out of the toilet she nearly bumped into Jenny whose eyes were bloodshot red and swollen at the sides. Jenny had an apologetic look but Cassie on the other hand was not ready to give in to her looks. She was about passing Jenny before she stopped abruptly and said.

Jennifer, am kind at heart and cannot see someone stressing over something I can be of help for, what am saying in the nutshell is that you might not be my bestfriend anymore but you are my "school" friend, so the normal routine of us going home together will not change meaning we will still be going home with Hamed. Cassie explained.

Jenny cleared her throat and said Cassandra, TBT set me up, they wanted to get back at me for insulting and declining their offer of joining their worthless group, I know you might not believe me without a proof, but that's okay I will get proof for you. Also, if you want me to keep following you home out of pity for me then I won't go with you because...Cassie cuts in...Am not telling you to follow me out of pity, am telling you to come with because of my kind heart and the fact that we were best friends while it lasted, so if you want, you can go home with us, the choice is up to you. Cassie's says this and leaves the bathroom.

The rest of the classes were tensing because of the fight between Cassandra and Jennifer and TBT keeps worsening the case by adding more fuel to the already burning fire.

The closing bell rang and Cassie and Abigail went downstairs to wait for Hamed, on the other hand Jenny was still packing her bags contemplating whether to follow them or not and she came to a decision.

Aby, where is Cassie?. A voice called out from behind.

Abigail turned back and saw Jenny coming down the stairs.

Well...she is coming. Abigail stuttered from the surprise of seeing Jenny asking of Cassie and will probably follow them home.

Hamed got to the front of the school's gate and called out to Abigail.

Miss. Abigail, I am here, where is small madam?. Hamed asked.

She is coming, she went to the restroom. Abigail replied making way to the car and Jenny followed suit.

Hey, junior. Cassandra called out to a young boy.

Yes, senior Cassandra. How may I help you. The junior asked.

Have you seen Senior Jenny after closing?. Cassandra asked.

No Senior. The junior replied.

Ok, you can go. Cassandra said.

What am I even thinking. Cassandra thought and went back to meet Abigail.

On getting to the gates she saw Abigail and Jennifer already seated in the car. She was a little surprised as she felt Jennifer would not join them.

Ok, since we are all here let's go. Hamed said and started the engines of the car.

Seeing everywhere was quiet Abigail decided to strike a conversation with Cassandra.

Hey Cassie, have you done Mr. Julian's Mathematics assignment?. Abigail asked.

Yes Miss, I have. Cassandra replied.

Alright. I have not done mine actually, I could do them at your house, can I come over tomorrow?. Abigail asked.

Yes ma'am, you are free to come anytime. Cassandra said.

Thanks Cassie, you are the best. Abigail said.

Scoffs...best?. I wish that was enough for someone, then probably I would have felt like the best. Cassie said unhappily.

Jenny felt suffocated in the car as she could neither speak or join in Cassie's and Aby's conversation.

Abigail alighted first and they soon reached Jennifer's house and she alighted.

Thank you. Jennifer said

You are welcome and make sure to take some painkillers seeing you have cried alot today. Cassie said and smirked.

Cassandra got home and noticed something was unusual as she entered their compound, on entering inside she got the surprise of her life.

Dad!!!!. Cassandra shouted happily.

My queen!!. Mr. Williams said.

Cough... cough...Hello...Mrs. Williams said waving her hand.

Oh sorry, my princess!!. Mr. Williams corrected.

Whatever dad, am glad you are back, I have missed you so much. Cassandra said hugging her dad tightly.

Okay, okay princess...don't choke me. Mr. Williams said struggling to breathe.

No dad, I want to smell you a little more, I have not seen you in a month now!. Cassandra said and pouted.

My cute girl, dad was working, if I don't work, your grand pa will give me a very bad scolding. Mr. Williams defended.

That's true but still dad, I missed you and more importantly...she pinched his cheek...

Oh common baby, are we still doing that. Mr. Williams inquired.

Yes dad, it's a tradition I created, whenever you get back from a trip I have to pinch you to properly welcome you back home. Cassandra said.

You have been doing that since you were 5 years old Cassandra. Mr. Williams said.

I know dad, I vividly remember, you got back home on that very day from a trip and you carried me on your legs and grabbed my little cheeks while snuggling me and I also tried doing the same but unfortunately pinched you in the process and ever since I turned it to my tradition of welcoming you after any trip of yours. Cassie narrated.

That's right my dear and my cheeks still hurts. Mr. Williams said with a sad face

Oh sorry dad, let me pat it for you. Cassie offered.

Ouch!!. Mr. Williams screamed as Cassie pinched him again.

Whoops...sorry dad!!. Cassie said running to her room.
