"Come on, run faster. Faster. Faster!!"
Jamal, Nadia, and Kalisa, the three Normal recruits who signed under Tamsin and Xanthe, were made to run for over an hour straight on treadmills since the two girls had complained about the swimming pool exercise the previous day.
Now, instead of giving them slightly manageable exercises that would build their bodies instead of torturing them, the girls and boy were forced to run at high speed, which, according to Tamsin, was meant to build their stamina and body resilience.
Still, none of the Normals found this easy or understood the point of it. In fact, they thought of it as some form of torture due to them not being the ideal Mutants or even Normals fit to be fighters.
Every time Tamsin looked at them, she made sure to do so with a look of disgust, which further strengthened their belief. She didn't like them, and these exercises were a testimony of the way she felt.
