Amid war, the ground beneath thousands of Gazanerrin and Neveahian soldiers started to shake, shift, and eventually sink within itself. Those unfortunate enough to be caught in the chaos were swallowed whole by a colossal Earth beast.
A large set of circular jaws peered through the sand, followed by powerful roars that blew those surrounding it off their feet. The less fortunate souls close to the jaws were temporarily deafened by the booming roars, making them unaware and unprepared for what was going to happen next.
"It's...it's an ambush…" Zhao mumbled, his heart beating much faster than normal as fear rushed into his system. The mechanical soldier momentarily flashed back to his encounter with the Gazanerrin leader. He recalled that the leader had the power to control a Demon-tier beast, a gift that not many mutants possessed.
