The sun started to set on Desper as her night life started to boom. Desper's students headed home in groups as a way to protect themselves from the protesters who spent the whole day senselessly rhyming, shouting, and spitting vain words, as if they didn't have jobs.
A group of four students, Kina, Luke, Blake, and Nadia, were walking out of the school gates and headed towards the Gorilla base. After witnessing Dezhong fight and the other fights in the exercise, Kina had so far gotten three students who'd make wonderful contesters for the fight. Caesar, the fire mutant, and the ice mutant were exceptional candidates.
"So far, those three might be able to make an impact in the mutant fight," she told the others. "Remember, we're looking for candidates willing to fight. We can scout them out, but convincing them will be the challenge. Besides, we still don't know when the competition starts."
