As the police removed the large mutant body, hundreds of hover-ambulances, helicopters, and even a couple of citizens rushed to the crowded apartment area and quickly got to work. Given that hundreds were injured and the death toll was still rising, a lot of people were needed to help, and thankfully, Desper's citizens started to show their compassionate sides.
While the ambulances transported those who were critically injured, the rest of the citizens offered refuge to those who had lost their homes. Fundraisers were already organized, and tents were being set up for the homeless. Things started to look better for those displaced, but one thing was clear: everyone was angry at bear claws and all mutants in general.
