More than a week went by after the breakout.
Blake Klim, son of Otal Klim and junior mutant who escaped from Fort Horizon, had spent the last days hiding in the Undercity where the rest of Desper's criminal filth came to hide from the law.
The blonde teenage boy, having gained heat from the police, couldn't go to any of the places he usually hid in. His secret base on the outskirts of Desper was raided and wiped clean of all his research.
Dezhong's house, which was surrounded by police 24/7, was now off-limits meaning that Dezhong, who he thought was also hiding, wasn't in there.
The Gorilla Base, a place where he'd lay low, was also shut down and sealed off, meaning that the boy had nowhere to go. With no place to turn to, no one to turn to, and nothing else to do to keep his thoughts in check, Blake did the one thing his father told him to.
