Life in prison involved fighting, hustling for 'additional goods and services', forming groups for protection, and sleeping with one eye open if one wanted to survive.
Even though guards were at almost every corner, they didn't care about the welfare of the inmates, especially those who got into fights. To them, such cases were fun and entertaining, with some guards having their favorite inmates. This was common in both the men's and women's sections, meaning both sides had idiots stupid enough to challenge anyone they found.
One of those unfortunate enough to be placed with said idiots was Krakenhouse, the Gorilla's first and only female leader in her department. The woman was quiet, stoic, and often perceived cold by her peers. Krakenhouse was a reserved woman for a reason: she had an ugly temper.
