[starting pack opening…]
Once he opened the starting pack 7 cards appeared face down on the table he was using 2 shining bronze 2 silver and 2 gold.
He decided to start opening the rest cards first. Which according to the description were bronze then silver and then gold.
Turning over the first bronze card he got something he desperately needed.
[Map of winterhold – shows all the inhabitants of the city including their race and affiliations]
'great' at least now he had a way to figure out if anybody is a spy and a way to safely accept new people into his hold if he so desired without risking his safety.
The map is styled like the map of harry potter that shows the footprints as people are walking around, according to the description it can even find invisible people.
He decided that when he makes his strength public he will always have one person looking at the map to make sure no assassins come after him.
Turning over the next bronze card he got another thing he needed and was planning to purchase as soon as possible.
[knowledge of magical architecture – incomplete, contains the architecture part of the card and no magic spells]
Whilst the card might look incomplete, he thought it was perfect as the card was immediately absorbed into his body. From all the blueprints and construction methods contained he found out that he could build the largest and most impressive structures even without magic.
The first thing he decided he will use it for is to spice up his house and rebuild it from the ground up to make sure that he has the most impressive castle in the whole of skyrim
He even had a few ideas already of how he could improve his wooden house to become way bigger and more intimidating than the college of winterhold.
Snaping out of his fantasies of the perfect magic castle he decided to open the final bronze card. And it was something he never would have expected.
[secret tunnel map of the college of winterhold]
The map details the whole underground structure below the college and how to access it even has rooms labelled such as where the augur is and the location of the soul gathering array. However from the looks of it the route to it seems to be blocked with heavy doors of all kinds, probably to stop anybody from messing with it.
Deciding to finally get to the silver cards he truly got a surprise, something that could financially damage the college of winterhold.
[secret recipe of valerian steel – contains different recipes used to make valerian steel, valerian steel can't be enchanted with the methods found on nirn, valerian steel weapons are as strong as ebony but sharper]
The college gains a large amount of its funds through enchanting either iron or steel weapons as both the elves and orcs have their own enchanters. Even ebony is not available in the common day because it is mostly shipped to the empires capital to serve their army.
That's not even considering how rare ebony mines are.
So right now, with this recipe he will control the best weapons in skyrim. This means that the best weapons won't be enchanted.
And those who can afford the best weapons are usually the ones who use the colleges enchanting service.
By making valerian steel weapons he will be cutting off the richest families from giving their money to the college.
That's not even considering how much power weapon manufactures get in times of war and if he's not wrong that means in 20 years when the civil war starts everybody will be trying to obtain the best weapons.
Using this he will be able to make himself out to be a truly neutral party like whiterun tried to be during the game.
Except I will have real capital do so.
Moving on from the card that can be comparable to the gold card he decided to open the final silver card.
[Ninroot body forging book – book detailing how to infinitely stronger using Ninroot]
Looing over more details on the book he had found that he got excited over nothing because as more Ninroot were used they had less and less effects. This meant that he would have to find different Ninroot types to make the most of the book.
And as far as he knew there were only 3 types of Ninroot in the game, the normal one, crimson Ninroot and the giant Ninroot.
He will have to tell the town next week that he is searching for Ninroot as it is very rare and people can only come across it by chance. He will have to put a generous reward on it.
He decided to get the best benefit from the normal Ninroot before even thinking about trying to get his hands on any other Ninroot.
With his disappointment of his previous reward almost forgotten he knew now was the best time to open the best rewards, the ones he saved for last. He opened his first gold reward with a hopeful face.
[True Nord bloodline – gives 100% frost ice or any cold type immunity]
This was the best gift he could have gotten. He lives in the coldest and the northernmost hold where it almost never stops snowing and storms are very common.
The best thing was that it was immunity not resistance. Almost never in the games is there full immunity to anything. And with this bloodline he will be able to have children who will never freeze.
The best part of it all is that if he somehow gets kicked out of winterhold during the civil war he could go live in atamora and still keep building his kingdom. Because in atamora he will never be invaded given that it is the frozen continent.
Deciding to get it over with he decided to open the final gift and when he did it confused him.
[Frost elf magic inheritance
- Requires ice to cast at lower levels
- Can help with moving large amounts of ice
- Can create temporary magic ice
- Can make use of magic ice
- At highest level helps races evolve to gain full cold immunity
- If a spell fails, it freezes a part of the body]
p.s I designed the frost elf magic to work with nords as they have resistance to cold and could therefore survive the spell failing
