Chapter 2 - CH: 2

Maxi Pov

"Max! My bro… I miss you so much…" Mark pulled Max in a hug as soon as we got out of the car.

Maybe he looked a bit drunk. Max was trying to pull him.

"Mark, if you don't let me go in out of five, I'll leave from here." Max said, treating the tone.

"No, don't leave me alone." Mark pulled back from Max. He made a poor face.

"Now, don't act in front of my sister." Max said, turning to me.

"Hey, Maxi… You look… Mmm… Wrapping gift box." Mark commented, eyeing me up and down.

Well, I'm wearing back jeans, a blue crop top with a white coat and a black hand glow. I don't wear any makeup as others do. Because my skin is so sensitive that I get red rashes if I put on makeup. I just use my lips gloss so my lips do not get dry by winter. Anyway, my big glass always gives me a warm look, so I love it more. As for my hair, I love my hair down on my shoulders. They are golden honey, the same as my Mom. Max had dad's hair chocolate brown, and it suited him so well. Max and I are brother and sister, but we never look like each other. Our eye colour matches deep blue with light green. Max looks like dad. He is tall, fair skin, handsome face with a healthy body. He is a smart guy, respectful to girls and others. Yes, he had anger issues, but it appeared when he was frustrated or didn't like things.

I never liked showing my skin to others, so yes, I'm full wrapped like a gift box.

"Oh, thank you, Mark. So is that party outside?" I asked. Because the music was loud. I heard boys and girls cheering.

"Well, the party is on the backside. My brother Jack hosted this party. So he called many d**khead friends of his." Mark chuckled softly.

"Mark, I told you…" Max gives him a warning look.

"Come on, and she will hear the same world inside and outside. It's not a big deal." Mark said.  Max just sighs helplessly.

I agree with Mark. Even I read many dirty words in books. I'm a writer, so I also write many words in my book.

But Max doesn't know this. It's my little secret! He never read my books because he thought that they were for girls. Boys can't read.

"Jack is your twin, right?" I recalled. Because I rarely meet them. When they come to my house.

"Yes, and today is our birthday. And he is at a high level. Anyway, come inside." Mark opened the door for us.

"Oh… Wait." I ran back to the car and picked up two small gift boxes. When I walk around. I heard them talking about something or someone.

"Don't tell me they were also invited?" Max's face looks frustrated.

"I can't help it, Max. Jack is his friend, so he invited him and his gang too." Mark said in a bit of an embarrassing voice.

"Why didn't you tell me first? I'll never bring Maxi here." Max said, pissed.

"Mark, here is your gift." I pretend like I didn't hear them.

"Why a gift? Max already gave it to me." Mark asked with a surprised look.

"This from me. Come on, take it. And can you call Jack too? I want to give this gift to him too." I said with a sweet smile.

"I can't take it, Maxi." Mark looked at my Max. Who looked not so happy.

"Max, tell him to take it. I brought it in such a hurry." I looked at Max and said.

"Take it, dude. She was almost tripping on her face when she ran into the gift shop to find a good gift for you." Max said in a normal tone.

"Brother Max, I didn't tell you to tell him those things." I look embarrassed.

"If you run like a little girl, bring a gift for me. Then I have to take it. Or your brother Max will kill me." Mark took a gift box from me.

"Hey, brother Mark, you can't tease me like Brother Max." I pouted and looked at both of them one by one.

"You look so cute with those pouting lips. Max, you are lucky to have a cute sister." Mark chuckled and said.

"You are right about that." Max pulled my cheeks in his finger.

"Ah… Brother, don't do that." I slap his hand and rub my cheeks. My cheeks look red. I can say that. My skin is always sensitive.

Max and Mark chuckle at my action.

"Brother, Mark… Open the gift… it was not expensive. I hope you like it." I said in a bit of a shy tone.

Mark's family is wealthy, and high class. His dad and mom manage many companies. So they are always on trips. Mark and Jack stay in this house. They study in the same college, that is why he is friends with Max. This house is for Mark, and Jack, brought by their parents. Max has come here many times. But for me, this is the first time. Mark always comes to our house.

Sometimes Mark shows how much he misses his parents. I know the feeling of missing parents because my parents also often go on trips.

On the other hand, Jack was his twin, but he was different from him. He always stays with many babies and girls in a group. Max and he never fired too much as Mark and Max do.

"Wow, thank you, Maxi. This is the best gift." Mark's cheerful voice pulled me back. I see him wearing a small chin bracelet.

"Did you like it?" I asked, doubtful eyes. Because he was wearing an expensive watch in his other hand. My gift is a cheap one.

"Of course, I like it." Mark pulled me in a tight hug.

"Max, can you give me your little sister Just for one day?" Mark asked, which made me giggle.

"Well, she is your sister too. But you can't take her. She is mine, baby sister…" Max pulled me back with a big smile.

I just giggle at them. My glasses drop on my nose. Max chuckled and pushed up in eyes with one finger.

"So should we go inside." I asked for a pointed door. I can hear loud music from here. I hope I don't get defied by music.

"Wait! Maxi, how about I send you back home?" Max suddenly got nervous.

"What? Why?" I look at him in confusion.

"Yeah, dude… Why are you sending her home? She is already here. Let her come inside." Mark said in a hurry.

"I don't want Maxi to walk in front of lots of people. They were already drunk. What if…" Max tries to say.

"Hold on, Max. I know what is on your mind. But trust me, I prepared a room for Maxi. She can stay there and eat something. No one can disturb her.

As you know, I never allow anyone to use second-floor rooms. So I arranged a top floor room for her." Mark said in a desperate tone.

"Brother, Max… Come on. Mark never lied to you. Let's go…" I pulled Max with me.

"Fine. But you promise you won't walk alone out of the room no matter what. When the party's over, I'll come to pick you up." Max gives the same institutions.

"I already made that promise. I'll never leave the room." I said honestly.

"And don't worry, I put lots of food and juice in her room. And the bathroom was inside, so I didn't have any reason to come out. And If you need anything, just tell me." Mark said.

Max looked at him and nodded in agreement.

"Yeh!!" I hi-five to Mark.

"Come on. Stop acting like kids." Max chuckled and pulled me with him. Mark held my other hand.

"Oh, wait! My hot chocolate and pizza." I shouted in shock.

"That was in the car, Maxi. I'll bring it up, Mark. Can you please take her up?" Max asked and walked back to the car.

"Ok, let's go, baby girl." Mark mimics Max, and we walk to the door.

I just giggled at his mimicry. But as soon as he opened the door. Music got higher. Then I see some boys and girls having drinks in hand, talking to each other. Some were shaking their bodies to the beat of the music.

"Wow…" I swear to God. I never had a party in my life. This is my first time, and maybe last, because I can't hear this much loud music and people in a drunken state. Girls were wearing sexy dresses like they were here to seduce boys. Maybe they are because I read many books. Boys with fun (you know what I mean?)

Anyway, Mark took me to the top floor. He pointed to Jack, who was drinking with a large group of students in my college. They are all from wealthy families. I just know some of them by face. Some girls were sitting with one boy and a girl. I note in books that if a girl is some guy's lamp, that means she is his girlfriend.

"Hey, Mark…" Jack waves at Mark.

"You come here…" Mark shouted, because of the loud music.

Jack nods and gets up from the sofa. He told us something and walked to us.

"Hey, Maxi… You look good. Did you turn eighteen?" Jack asked as he checked on me.

"Yes, I'm nineteen now. But why are you asking?" I asked him in confusion.

"Because you are alone. Max will never leave you alone if you are not eighteen. And he never allows you to come to this type of party." Jack chuckles as he looks up and down at me.

"Jack… Max is here too. I asked Max to bring Maxi here. She is here to wish us a happy birthday." Mark said in an annoying tone.

"It's that so? So where is my gift?" Jack asked.

I pulled back the box from my coat and hand to him with a smile

"Happy Birthday, Jack." I said with a smile.

"You still look like the same little girl that we met in Max's house." He took the box and began to unwrap it.

"I'm a big girl now." I pouted like usual.

"Oh, really, I didn't know that… What is this?" He pulled out the same bracelet and kept looking down. Maybe he doesn't like it.

"If you don't like it, you can give me back." I said in nervously.

"Why did you bring this? You know I get more expensive gifts from my friends." Jack pointed to a table field with many boxes, and they were so big.

"Isn't feelings matter more than things? I brought these two sets of bracelets for you too, and they show you are brothers, never separate." I pointed to the words on the bracelet.

"Still brothers…" He read and looked at Mark's bracelet. Mark had the exact words on the bracelet.

"If you don't like it. Just give her back." Max's voice came from behind.

Jack looked at Max then he put a bracelet on his wrist.

"Feelings Matter… And I think this suits me well. Thank you, baby sister." Jack said, showing off his bracelet. And he turns and walks to his friend's circle.

"Why was he always acting cold, when he was taking that gift?" Max frowned.

"It was hard for him to show his feelings, maybe," I said.

"You guess, right…" Mark said, and we turned to walk.

"Hey, Mark… New girl, huh?" One deep arrogant voice makes us stop.

I see Max's feist tighten in anger. His face got hard, and I could see his jaw tighten.
