Chapter 200 - Nightmare memories part 2

- We found his wife, his daughter nowhere to be seen on the farm. - The bass voice of one of the guards was heard.

The girl heard a sigh of disappointment and steps to the side from where the bass voice of another guard came.

- Where is your daughter? Call her and I guarantee she and you will be treated tenderly. She is still inexperienced in such matters; you can give her maternal advice. - The cheerful voice of the guard was heard, in which there was no previous anger

The girl's mother could be heard trying to escape from the hands of the other guards.

The girl did not see that part of the room; she could only listen to what was happening in her house.

- Your silence does not do you any good, nor does it do your daughter any good. We will find her anyway, with or without your help. Guys, search the whole farm and find this girl. In the meantime, her mother and I will have a fun time. - An order from the guard was heard in which the girl felt something else.

The footsteps of guards were heard heading in different directions of the house and the farm where Lualia lived.

The girl saw through the pieces of wood how the feet of the guards passed by her shelter, in one of the cases it seemed to her that they heard her. But the guard walked further towards where the animals were kept on the farm.

- You know, I've wanted you for a long time, your husband was lucky that he snatched someone like you. And while we are alone, if you tell me where your daughter is, none of the other guards will know you. - The quiet voice of a guard was heard near the girl's mother.

Lualia heard strange sounds and then the laughter of the guard and a blow to the floor was heard in the direction where the guard and the girl's mother stood.

She heard how the guard began to make more and more sounds with his armor and began to hear the fabric tearing and blows.

The muffled voice of the girl's mother was heard, but Lualia did not understand what her mother was saying.

The blows continued and became stronger, the girl tried not to breathe. It was heard how the pieces of wood began to crack in the place where the guard and the girl's mother were.

Lualia did not understand why they were silent and what those blows and the sound of tearing fabric were.

She hoped that her father would come to his senses, but he lay there and did not move. The girl heard the guards returning to her house and discussing something.

The guards returned back to the room where the mother and the guard remained; laughter was heard from the guards.

- Captain, did you decide not to wait for us and got to know the mistress of this house? We haven't found the girl, we only have her mother left. - The same bass voice of the guard was heard.

The girl again heard strong blows on the floor and then Lualia heard the sounds of armor heard again.

- It's too bad you didn't find her, maybe we'll meet her along the way. In the meantime, have fun with her mom, then when you're done, kill her and burn down the farm. - The captain's breathless voice was heard, in which pleasure was felt.

Lualia could hear the chuckles of the other guards and the sounds of their armor, she saw how the one they called captain came out of the door of the house into the street, buttoning up his armor.

The girl heard the remaining guards arguing about who would be the first to know the mistress of the house. Impacts on the floor were heard again; Lualia did not know how long she had been sitting in her shelter.

The sounds of laughter from the guards coming from the room, at some moments she heard her mother's voice but could not make out the words.

Hearing the sounds of armor again, the girl shuddered and the same sound was heard before her father fell.

The guards laughed, exchanging impressions; from their voices Lualia understood that they had received something good from her mother.

She didn't understand why her mother didn't say anything then; she heard the sounds of the guards starting to break the furniture inside the room, looking for something.

When the guards found what they were looking for, their steps approached the exit from the house. Through the crack, Lualia saw that one of them had a torch that was still unlit.

Laughing, they left the house one after another until there was silence. The girl didn't know what to do, should she continue to sit here or could she get out?

She couldn't hear her parents' voices and anxiety began to spread inside her. Trying to move carefully, she began to get out of the secret place.

When she got out, she felt her legs and back hurt. Looking around, she saw how the farm where their animals lived was burning.

Lualia did not understand why the guards did this, wanting to ask her parents, she entered the house.

Walking through the house, trying not to make noise, the girl entered the room where she last saw her father and mother.

A destroyed room appeared before her eyes; her father was still lying near the door; underneath him, a red liquid reminiscent of blood was visible.

Wanting to approach him, she saw her mother who was lying completely naked on her back and there was a large wound in the center of her chest.

Her mother's gaze was constantly looking at the ceiling, with slow steps Lualia approached her, sitting down next to her, she saw that her whole body was covered with bruises and contusions.

The girl tried to attract her mother's attention by calling her and touching her shoulder. But the mother did not answer, continuing to look at the ceiling, the girl heard the guards outside the door begin to decide who would be the first to throw a torch into the house.

Lualia began to rub her mother even harder, saying what the guards were up to, but there was no reaction.

The girl left her mother and ran to her father, thinking that he could help her get her mother in order.

Turning her father over, she saw a wound that stretched across the entire chest to the waist. Through the fabric she saw blood flowing from the wound and her father's eyes looked at her.

The father also did not react in any way to the girl's attempts to bring them to their senses. She could already hear the torches hitting the house with a hiss and gradually the room began to become warmer and an unpleasant smell appeared.

Lualia didn't know what to do; she ran from her mother to her father, trying to bring them to their senses, saying that the house was on fire and they needed to escape.

It became increasingly difficult for her to breathe, the girl's eyes began to water and she began to cough.

The fire began to gradually cover more and more of the house, when she saw that the fire was starting to approach, she tried to pull him to her father, but she did not have enough strength.

Lualia saw how the fire began to devour her father, turning her blurred gaze, she could hardly see her mother.

She didn't want to leave them, but something moved her towards the exit through which she entered. Running out of the house, she fell to her knees and began coughing.

She felt like she was suffocating, tears flowed from the girl's eyes without stopping. The fire continued to rage, engulfing more and more of the house.

Rising from the ground, the girl walked towards the forest; she had no fear that these guards would find her in the forest.

No one went into the forest, saying that there was some kind of law prohibiting residents from going there.

Lualia did not pay attention to the fact that the day was beginning to end, nor to the sounds of animals and monsters that were heard next to her.

She was absorbed in thoughts about the house and her parents, continuing to walk into the night and did not notice how the figure of a monster appeared in front of her.

The monster began to slowly approach the girl; he did not feel any threat from her. Lualia saw a monster that approached her, in the darkness she did not understand what kind of monster it was and understood that she could not escape from it.

The girl looked at the monster and had the idea that she would soon meet her parents. Spreading her arms in different directions, calling on the monster to attack, she looked at him without taking her eyes off.

The monster bared its teeth and jumped at Lualia, the girl expected to feel pain, but instead the monster fell to the ground and froze.

Quick steps were heard towards Lualia, turning her gaze, she saw a man dressed in shabby clothes coming out of the bushes and holding a bow in his hand.

Looking around and listening to the forest and making sure that there were no other monsters nearby, he approached the girl.

Putting his finger to his lips, he took her hand and led her in the direction from which he had come.

Lualia did not resist, they tried to take her away for a long time until they found themselves in front of a large white wall.

Heading to walk along it and approaching the gate, the man shouted to someone and the work of the mechanism was heard and gradually the gate opened.

Once inside, everyone was surprised who the man brought, as Lualia later found out her savior's name was Namil, and that night he was returning from hunting when he heard the roar of a monster.

Lualia did not speak for a long time, many thought that she was deprived of the ability to speak. Time passed, the girl found out where she was, she was in a city that was once inhabited by another race.

While doing the necessary work so that she would not be kicked out of the city, she gradually began to talk slowly.

Namil, who was her savior, followed her progress and tried to help her whenever possible. Lualia told her savior what happened to her and her family, once here, and after a while she understood what she saw then. She saw how Namil's face constantly changed when the girl told new details.

When she finished telling the story, he hugged her, he had no opportunity to help save her parents or take revenge on the guard who did this to her mother and killed her father.

He invited her to be a hunter and help the settlement by getting food for them. It was customary for them that everyone did something to benefit the rest of the inhabitants, and they were dominated by a council of elders who were elected every year.

Without thinking long about his proposal, Lualia agreed, and from then on he taught her and took her hunting with him.

In one of these campaigns, Namil was wounded by a basilisk, she tried to help him, but her attempts to save his life brought nothing but new pain, watching her savior and teacher die.

She saw how life left Namil's body, Lualia wanted to cry, but the tears did not come, she cursed her weakness, having built a stretcher out of pieces of wood, she returned to the city with Namil's body.

After that, she went hunting alone, many tried to go with her, but Lualia refused them; the girl did not want to see someone else die next to her.
