Chapter 118 - Task Bureau

After leaving the classroom, I thoughtfully tried to find some changes in myself, but I did not find what Professor Ni'lim was talking about. Pushing these thoughts aside, I headed to the task bureau. There were a few stufons in the corridors, everyone still had lessons, so without particularly lingering at the academy, I went to a place from where I can leave the academy for a good reason.

Leaving the walls of the academy, I headed towards the arena, the task bureau was located in the next building from the arena. I don't know why they placed it so far away from the academy, but most likely the builders had their own reasons for this.

Walking through the forest, I enjoyed the warm weather, the singing of birds and a light breeze that slightly blew my long hair. Realizing that I had lost my hairband in the class on combat magic, I shook my head, having got used to long hair, I no longer wanted to cut them off, it remained to find a new hairband.

Approaching the bureau of buildings, I examined the buildings, it was like the academy of white stone, one-story, it was small but also small, the black door was open and above it was not written in large letters "Bureau of Tasks" without observing the stufons, I shrugged my shoulders and slowly walked inside.

Examining the interior structure of the bureau, I raised my eyebrows in surprise, if it seemed from the outside that the bureau was small, then inside it seemed that it was even bigger. To the right and left of the door there were large shelves on which different sheets were attached, as I understood the very tasks that you can choose.

Directly from the door in another part of the hall there was a table at which the professor was sitting with a bored look, he was a middle-aged man, he had medium-length gray hair and a small beard.

Having decided to clarify with him how I should take tasks heading to him, I could not help but look at the walls, on two walls I saw pictures on one the army was fighting with the army of the undead and on the other it was visible how the leader of this or another army was executed and behind him were representatives of all races I did not see the inscription since I was pretty far away.

There were magic lanterns hanging on the walls and I noticed that it was cool inside the bureau, unlike the academy where it was sometimes stuffy, it was refreshing here.

- Good afternoon Professor, can you clarify what tasks freshmen can take? - I asked the professor who was looking at me with a bored look.

Listening to my question, the professor silently pointed to the right shelves, sighing, I went to choose tasks that would be closer to the place where Avili once lived. Approaching the first shelf, I began to look carefully at the applications, some were from the stufons with the task of cleaning or doing something around the room where they lived, there were no stupid or forbidden offers, everything was paid for in the academy's currency.

After looking at the tasks again, I did not find anything interesting, shaking my head on the second shelf there were also unremarkable tasks that were performed on the very territory of the academy. As the third and fourth shelving, I did not find what I was looking for, but one task caught my attention.

Task: To find or provide information about Trei.

Gender: Male.

Height of one meter eighty.

Hair color : golden.

Eye color: blue.

Wing: Swordsmen.

The customers are stufons of the first year of Nreu and Heya.

Payment is currency and gold.

The information must be reliable.

Reading the task, I understood even better the conversation between Nreu and Hei that I heard in an empty classroom. Hoping for the dean that he made sure that people who knew about me as a person would not sell the information.

After making sure that there was nothing useful on these shelves, I went to the left shelves, remembering that the professor pointed to the right ones, but not finding any tasks that I was interested in, I had to look at the left shelves.

On the left shelves there were many tasks to destroy certain monsters, there were even a couple from professors whose name I did not know.

Looking through one shelf after another until I saw a task that attracted me.

Task: Escort and protection of the caravan from the city of Lenho to the city of Midgen.

Difficulty: A.

Race: any.

Wing: any.

Courses: second, third.

Preferences: none.

Customer: Trade organization of the city of Midgen representative Duhain.

The time of the caravan's departure: The day after tomorrow.

Payment: Currency.

To address the assignment: To Professor Noel.

After looking at a couple more tasks, but only this one was suitable for my requirements, after thinking for a while I took a piece of paper with the tasks and made a face at the professor by the name indicated to whom to contact, I concluded that the professor's name was Noela.

Approaching the professor, I saw that he was also sitting with a bored expression on his face, watching me approach him, going up to him and putting the assignment sheet on the table, I noticed that his face was changing.

- I want to take this assignment for escorts. - I turned to the professor in a respectful tone.

I took the sheet in my hands, running my eyes over the task and casting a glance at me then at the tasks.

- Young half-elf, you probably didn't notice, but the assignments for the second and third year, you don't fit. - Professor Noel said in a bored voice.

Having thought about what to do, is it really such a good option and I won't be able to use it?

- And if I'm not alone? My servant will be with me. - I asked, looking Professor Noel in the eye.

Watching Professor Noel's face change, maybe he doesn't leave the assignment bureau or isn't interested in the events at the academy?

- What rank is your servant? - Professor Noel asked in a bored voice, looking at me.

I didn't know exactly what rank Keirin was, but I think if I say that she is A rank, it won't be cheating, right? I doubted she was B or C rank.

- A rank, specialization air and ice mage. - Pretending to remember, I replied.

Professor Noel, scratching his chin, looking at me then at the assignments, waving his hand and taking the seal from the table and hitting it on the corner of the sheet on which "approved" was visible in red, handed it to me.

- Good luck stufon, come back alive. Professor Noel spoke to me in an indifferent voice.

After accepting the assignment sheet and thanking Professor Noela, I left the assignment bureau and headed to the dorm. I had to wait for Keirin in order to go on assignments.

Watching the half-elf Professor Noel leave, he began to fill out documents to transmit information to the professors that stufon accepted the assignments and he would not be at school until the end of the assignment.

The paper that was used in the task bureau was magical and when the magician touched it, he left certain information about himself. After completing the filling, Professor Noelu sent a message to all the professors who teach classes at Stufon Trey.
