Chapter 1 - 1_Ian Blake Von Agathiaron

"Ugh!"

In the middle of the dark room stood a king size bed. A man in his twenties was lying down in a pathetic way. Even when the bed was big enough to sleep with four people at the same time, he was at the point of falling.

"Shit, my head hurts!", he cursed under his breath while finally fixing his uncomfortable position he was in.

The man looked up and his painful face distorted in a confused one.

"Where am I?", he asked to nobody special because an answer was the last thing he was expecting.

He looked around and noticed how a mess this room was, the only clean place would probably be the bed he was currently sitting on. Bottles of different kind of alcohol lain down on the floor beside the bed, there a bit further, under the window table. Everywhere you looked were bottles of alcohol to be found.

"Ugh!", his head started to hurt once again, not to mention he felt extremely weak.

He stood up with a lot of effort and managed to walk to the window. The room was quite dark because the window was closed by heavy, black curtains. He decided to open the curtains to determine where exactly he could be.

He opened it and the sun shone brightly.

"Ugh! My eyes!", he quickly closed the curtains again without properly looking outside while walking some steps backwards.

"Fuck!", he cussed loudly after he stepped on some shards that were laying down on the floor.

His feet were bleeding a little. The man kneeled and cleaned the shards, so that this won't happen again, but stopped when he saw his reflection.

"This- ", he was speechless at what he saw. This wasn't how he looked like, but how did he then look like?

"Who is this? No, who am I?"

Memories that felt unfamiliar but familiar at the same time rushed in his head. His already hurting head began to hurt even more. The pain didn't subside as time went by, but instead increased by each second.

"Shit, this fucking hurts!", he cursed and cursed while holding his head.

In the end, the pain became too much to bear, and he began to lose his conscious. Before he lost his awareness he couldn't help but pray that he wouldn't fall on something that may leave injuries.

"Ugh!", after some time passed the man woke up once again with the same headache he had when he first woke up.

Sitting up from his laying position he turned to the windows to ascertain how much time passed by. Since there was no light to be seen under the curtain, he could establish that it was now nighttime.

He stood up weakly with aching muscles and with a stomach that screamed that it was hungry. But before he could hunt for food he needed to confirm something that he was certain of, but double checking wouldn't hurt.

He walked limply to the only intact mirror in the huge room. When he arrived, he couldn't deny it anymore that it really was true.

Before the mirror stood a man in his mid-twenties. He had dark long brown hair with a pair of amber eyes that glowed in the dark and a dark skin tone.

He gently touched the mirror and thought silently what he would and should do. He wasn't shocked to see himself. The memories in him made it that he couldn't be shocked by this because this was him even when he didn't want to admit it.

"I am Ian Blake Von Agathiaron", he mumbled softly.

He was him, but not him at the same time. He knows for sure he is Ian, but he felt as if he was someone else. As if he had a wake-up call and finally noticed everything the previous Ian couldn't notice.

"Since when was I so stupid", he laughed gently, but his soft face quickly changed to an expressionless one: "If I am a villain, I would probably be the most miserable villain in the world."

Ian Blake Von Agathiaron was also knows as the villain marquis or the one who brings bad luck. You can say he was never genuinely loved except for a few. The others would please him only because of his title, the marquis. But even then he was not given the respect he should get by the people around him.

Currently, he had only two people who he genuinely trusted, but even then it seemed that trust isn't something you can give. Nobody. You can trust nobody.

"What am I going to do? Should I be the villain they want me to be?", he gently shook his head: "That's too much work."

Being a villain wasn't easy but not hard at the same time. For Ian it was even easier to become a villain because he was 'different'.

"If I can choose, I want to choose an option where I won't die."

He turned away from the mirror and walked quietly to his bed. When he sat down a sigh escaped.

"What should I do with the information that this world is a fairytale."

When he was small and learned how to read, he once read a fairytale named . It wasn't anything special at all. It took place in a kingdom where a prince with golden hair defeated the tyrant, the king, and the villain, the marquis. Afterwards he'll marry the love of his life and they lived happily ever after.

And Ian is the villain of that particular fairytale.

"But" Ian muttered: "the story seems to be a bit wrong."

The fairytale exists of at least 500 words how many mistakes can there be, but the biggest and clearest mistake would be that he didn't live in a kingdom but an empire that is ruled by an emperor. The emperor is a respected person, not only by the nobles but also respected by the commoners from the Naru Empire.

"Not that I'm any wiser."

There was no information he could utilize in the short fairytale.

"What am I going to do?", he asked himself again while running his hand in his messy long hair making it messier than it already was.

How he was sure he was in the world of was entirely based on one thing, intuition.

*GROOOOOOWL*

"Let's eat something before thinking about my next course of action."
