Maths signaled his guards to back off him as he and Angie by his side made their way to the old woman's cottage and Angie was left to drool at the beauty of the garden. Although she had seen so many gardens yet, this one was different. She marveled at how the flowers were well planted and they decorated the whole garden.
They went through the garden and finally got to the entrance of the cottage.
Maths felt his hands tighten and he looked up at Anxious Angie. He could tell how nervous she was. He tightened his hands on hers and it made her raise her head at him. He smiled and pinched her left cheek to show he was there for her.
He slightly pushed the door open and they walked into the house.
"Mathias!" His stepbrother, Gwen screamed and rode towards them on a bicycle. He jumped down from the bicycle and leaped onto Maths who had to let go of Angie's hand to receive the hug.
"You dare hug me now." He confided while lowering Gwen to his feet.
"I'm sorry." Gwen apologized and his eyes shifted to Angie. "Hey, you're beautiful." He complimented her beauty and faced his brother. "Who's she?"
Maths curved a smile on his lips as he ruffled his hair, "Let's go in, I'll tell you that later." He protested and beckoned Angie to follow him.
"Who do we have here?" Mrs. Albert asked as they strode in. Maths rolled his eyes at her with her question. It was always the question she normally gave to him when she was about to tease him.
"Where's Julie?" He asked, ignoring his grandmother's question.
"She's out_" she paused and gasped. "Oh my God! Is this Angela." She asked as soon as she came into view.
Maths nodded and jerked forward, whose head was already bowed in respect. Mrs. Albert pulled her instantly into a warm hug while Gwen chuckled watching how serious his grandmother was.
"Where's Julie?" Mathias asked Gwen for the second time and the boy shrugged his shoulders. "Don't lie to me, Gwen!" He snapped.
"She has gone out with her friends, is there any problem?" Mrs. Albert asked, engaging from the hug, her face smiling, gaze still on Angie.
"When did she start to have friends?" Maths bellowed in anger. How could Julie have left the house after he had announced his coming? The girl was getting out of hand and he just couldn't make her selfless attitude go before her.
"I hope you behave yourself, Mathias." She warned and faced Angie, "How are you?"
"Fine, ma'am," Angie replied sheepishly while the old woman led her into the house and nudged her to sit on the sofa. "Thanks for visiting, Angela, I hope Maths relayed my message to you?"
Angie shook her head, "No ma'am and he didn't inform me, we'll be visiting." She divulged.
"Maths!" The old woman yelled. "What is this all about?"
"I'm sorry." He apologized, brewing two cups of coffee.
"You're stupid and dumb. Well, there's nothing to apologize for. You do things to your will!" Mrs. Albert snapped.
"I assume I am the only one who thinks he's dumb." Angie mocked and giggled. Mrs. Albert joined her and they made jest of Mathias who groaned at Angie.
"He is my dear, I hope you can grant him some senses." The old woman bellowed again and laughter filled the entire house.
Just then, the door opened, reviewing Julie. She strode towards them and gulped when she saw her brother, straining bullet eyes at her. She never thought that she would meet him at home. All her thoughts were that he would be visiting later in the day and he wouldn't have time to scold her. However, she was wrong, he was staring directly at her, looking like he was going to pounce on her at that moment.
Her gaze shifted from her brother and landed on Angie who was already staring large at her.
"Angie?"
"Julie?"
They both chorused and gasped at each other. Julie ran over to Angie ignoring Math's stares and leaped on her.
"You've grown too big and pretty, Julie." Angela complimented and Julie hugged her tight.
"You didn't inform me, you were going to leave the country. I was worried, my mom was worried, everyone was worried." She divulged.
At the mention of Julianne, Angie remembered she hadn't seen her. "How's your mom, Julie?" She asked.
"My mom is_" she paused as her face suddenly turned gloomy. She looked up at Maths and stood up from Angie.
"Are you okay? Is something wrong?" Angie asked suspiciously while Julie shook her head.
Maths wanted to say something but Mrs. Albert made him pause, "It's fine, Angie, Maths will explain that to you later. Now come here." She beckoned Julie.
Math's countenance was now softened as he gave Angie a cup of coffee. He nodded his head to her before sitting down beside her as they began another conversation.
Angie joined Mrs. Albert in the kitchen while they talked about every moment she was out of the country.
"Where are we?" Angie asked, coming down from the car. Maths had taken her to his castle and she believed the sight that beholds her. She was puzzled to think Maths could ever own a place like that. Maths gave her no reply and pulled her by her hands as he led the way to the entrance, his guards surrounding the entrance to welcome him.
Angie could see Harley waiting at the entrance with other guys, armed with a pistol, and it made her frightened. She stopped and pulled Maths backward. "Why are we here?" She whispered to him, scanning through the countenances of the guys.
"Cook down, Angie, this is my place, and just like Harley, they are my bodyguards." He relayed while Angie stared in confusion.
"Why do you need so many bodyguards?" She questioned.
"I'll explain later, Angie, let's go in." With his statement, he wrapped his hands over her waist and pulled her to his side and they made their way in, Angie crumbling beside him.
They got to the entrance and all the guards bowed at their master which Maths ignored and walked through the open door. Angie just couldn't believe she was in another world as she had never seen such a glamorous place before.
"Welcome." Freya greeted as she stood up from the big couch she was sitting on. "And it seems you've got yourself another catch." She mumbled, to everyone's surprise, especially Angie. She was a new catch? What was the girl talking about? She veered around to face Maths but Harley talked first.
"You, don't say thrash!" She snarled.
