_Angie's Pov_
"So stupid!" I cursed as I made my way out of his mansion. Maths was still stupid despite his age. He was nothing different from eight years ago, just that he had become more manly and winning. But his personality didn't change. It even worsens.
How could he have been sleeping around with girls while I was in Pennsylvania thinking about him? I regret ever feeling guilty. All my days in another state had been guilty but right now my guilt is washed away with anger taking over. I just couldn't believe he spilled that. He didn't even attempt to chase after me, he was so absurd.
Just then, a car flashed at me and almost hit me and I had to flinch away with screams escaping from my mouth. If I hadn't moved faster, it could have hit me. I fumed in anger and thankfully, the driver stopped. I watched with keen interest as he came out of his car, wearing a nose mask. He even dares to wear masks after pulling a prank on me.
What shocked me the most was when he mentioned my name. I mean my nickname. At first, I thought I didn't hear him right but I was wrong. He mentioned my name again. He knew who I was?
I tried picturing who he could be but I couldn't recognize him. He was an average height like me, and his hair was tinted gold, I couldn't even tell until he came closer and pulled down his nose mask. I gasped at the sight in front of me. It was Shed.
Not the Shed I knew years back but the popular Shed.
"Shed?" I asked even when I knew it was him.
"Where's Maths?" Was the first question he asked me.
I scoffed and ignored his question. "It's been a long time_" I paused as I was interrupted by him.
"Where's Maths, I asked!" He snapped, tugging his hands in his trouser, his mask hanging on his jaw.
I was shunned by his outburst. I felt like slapping him across his face for asking about Maths from me after we had just met for the first time in eight years. But I hid my anger and told him, "I left Maths at home."
"That idiot!" He snarled.
"I agree," I muttered in accordance.
Shed reached for me and hugged me warmly. I wrapped my hands around him as I missed him too. He was a lovely boy and his individuality seemed to change a little.
"What has he done this time?" He asked and the question caught me off guard. How did he know Maths had offended me?
"Nothing," I lied to avoid him ranting over it.
"You've not changed, woman. Still covering up for him." He said and disclosed the hug.
"You almost hit me." I conveyed, frowning.
"That's for leaving without looking back for a good eight years." He said and pinched my cheeks softly.
"I'm sorry," I begged.
"You don't have to and I'm going to kill that idiot for making you trek on a sunny afternoon. C'mon get in." He nudges me to go into his car with him. I did and he said we were going back to Maths.
"What?!" I cried out, "I'm never going back to that boy." I declared.
He started his car, ignoring my words. "Don't worry Angie, I wouldn't let you go into that house to meet him again rather, he'll be the one to come beg you." He uttered and I smirked. I was satisfied that Shed made that statement but I don't even want him to beg, I'm done with him.
It wasn't long before we got to his house because I hadn't walked too far. I didn't even know why I walked, I could have called a taxi but I guess that boy caused it.
Shed winked at me as he got down and moved into the mansion while I stayed back waiting in his car.
Not too long, Shed came out, and anger was written all over his face. He got into the car and without uttering a word he zoomed away.
He drove me to my house and he told me he'll be visiting the next day. I nodded and watched his car screech away. He was furious.
I was preparing dinner when a message beeped on my phone. I reached for it and checked my message only to see it was from Maths asking if I was already asleep. I rolled my eyes and returned to cooking ignoring his message even though I was elated that he texted me.
After some minutes, a call came into my phone. I groan knowing he would be the one. I reached for my phone again and received it.
"You're awake?" His sweet voice came in. Heck! Did I just say sweet voice?
"I want to sleep now." I lied but it didn't make him end the call.
"Sleep later, we need to talk."
"I'm not talking to you." I cowered. I don't want his pleas.
"I'm serious here, Angela." His voice was pitched. He was really serious.
I decided to play hard, "That's none of my business whereas your fuck mates are outside there, you should talk to them not me."
There was silence and I started to fiddle with my clothes. What if he ends the call? I was already enjoying the conversation.
"Let's meet tomorrow, Angela." He proposed.
"I don't want to meet you," I said plainly.
"Okay." He mumbled, leaving me in amazement. "You can go to bed now."
"Thank you," I said in annoyance and ended the call.
I went on preparing dinner with animosity and I also lost my appetite. I didn't touch the food and placed them in the microwave. My father and Dennis would still eat so it wasn't a waste.
I tiptoed to my room to avoid seeing my brother because if I did, I'm a downfall. When I got in, the light was turned off and I wondered when I turned it off.
I pulled on the switch and a scream left my mouth as I flinched backward. The people I have been avoiding were standing right in front of me with smirks on their faces.
"What the hell!" I cried out while they stood watching me.
I turned and lean my head on the door of my room. They have scared the fucking hell out of me.
"You two, out!" I ordered with my back bracing them.
"You're standing in the way sister," Dennis said and laughter followed behind. I groaned and moved away from the door still bracing them.
Dennis reached for the door and muttered, "Your boyfriend is amazing, he got me a new laptop." He said and I wished I could pounce on him but I can't. Dennis is way taller than me now. He was only eighteen but dishy.
"Shut up!" I snapped at him, "He's not my boyfriend!"
