"What is all this ruckus?" he asked the two, and it sounded like there were two voices in a single person.
"Boss, Adam's hiding den has been opened along with the scroll!"
The hooded person stepped forward to where Adam's safe cradle was and looked at it.
"She has been here along with her little guardian," the hooded person said before moving his hooded cloak.
I couldn't see that person's face, but I knew that person was looking in our direction.
"Little rat, I know you are here," he said. "I bet Adam told you everything you needed to know, but sadly, your fate has been decided," the hooded person said. "Enjoy your life while it lasts," the hooded person added before vanishing.
I clenched my fist. I was about to attack, but Eve held my hand, trying to stop me.
"Let's go," Eve whispered to me, teleporting us back to our rented apartment.
