I'm a little groggy my head was heavy. My legs flopped off the couch carefully as to not to kick over my cans of Coronas.
My mind is a mess I don't exactly remember what happened last night. I recall a bit when I have to actively dodge the glass shards, the large tulips' , and the strange wet spots on the floor.
Ah that's it I remember trying to give those to my wife last night.
Haggardly I made it from my living room to the kitchen in 10 steps. In the kitchen, I open the cabinet and took out the detox pills and swallowed them.
I stood for two minutes waiting for the spinning to stop. Then dragged my self back to the living room dodging the mess on the ground. My body sunk into the soft beaten up sofa.
I groan, my head resting comfortably on the couch as I thought of what happened last night.
~Flashback
I hold back a difficult sigh. A beautiful woman stood Infront of me that usually wouldn't be a problem if she wasn't yelling.
"Troy Mitchel, I told you I wanted a blue jade, but what is this RED--! RED---!," she held up shinny red necklace that was adored with a red gem scorning, her gaze was digging and stabbing into my prone form on the couch. She continued her voice higher in pitch,
"How stupid could you be I told you blue how can anyone mess this up you even ordered the butler to buy it yet you couldn't even remember one thing we have been married for 10 years. Yet you still can't fucking listen to me!"
'She is getting more rowdy should we just divorced. The longer we been together the more I can tell what she's scheming. She's getting tired of me since my company went bankrupt, the employees ran off with the money.I was betrayed by my co-partner. I found myself in a but load of debt so I got rid of everything including the villa employ's, staff, the chef and.... the butler.' I sighed heavily and looked at her figure beautiful, but here she is, in such a ugly run down apartment, I know.... she doesn't deserve this.
She sees the expression on my face and gets more annoyed thinking that I didn't care so she yells louder, "YOU... SAY SOMETHING OR I AM GOING TO BREAK UP WITH YOU."
'She puts done an ultimatum' I thought standing up from the couch and walk around the living room table. She shifts on her heels suddenly finding her feet captivating. She is adorable looking all nervous but I need her to pay attention so I say my first words since the beginning of this whole conversation.
"I understand."
"Wha-" Her head jerks up and her plump libs shake as she stutters out a stupid incomplete question. Her eyes wide a glimmer of suspicion flashes across her face. She stares at my face like she's trying to read my mind through my unexpressive face.
She's so cute. I carry on to say, "I understand, you just want the money from the divorce, right? You've been coming up with these accusations ever since I decided to move back to our old apartment. Don't you realize we have been together for over a decade, I know when your unhappy." I try to keep my voice from trembling, I do love her I don't want her to leave just like that.
She's quiet, deep in thought she looks down at the rug. I don't say anything as she stands there, not moving, but I do admire her fit and delicious form. I admire her petite modled body as she stares ferociously at the floor, the way her anger and disappointment swarms off in waves. I just watch her tremble in place.
I wait.
I listen to her breath becoming heavy and raged. She lifts her head slowly. I brace waiting fir something, for her to hit or yell at me.
She lifts her head, but instead of anger or hatred I see her face red and tears flowing,
"Yes.... let's divorce." she whispers indefinitely and runs out.
