"What was the plan?" Kiara, Juliana and Kalista all ask.
"Prince Herkes was to infiltrate the Black Fur Pack and then kidnap Alpha Kalista at the right opportunity." Ethan explains.
"What?" Juliana exclaims.
"But how?" Kiara asks.
"He was to take the nature of someone in the pack." Ethan says.
"What the fuck are you talking about?"
"He was to take on the nature of one of the members of the pack, someone that would be really close to you." Ethan says, looking at Kalista.
Slowly, it dawns on Kalista. "Someone like….Bernard." She whispers.
"But…but how?" Juliana asks. "We know for sure that Bernard is Alpha Gray Dexter's best friend from childhood. He did not infiltrate the pack; he and the Alpha grew up as best friends. They grew up together."
