Shocking confession by the man she always considered as her co-worker in her old world gave Anne a tremble through her body. She never thought her co-worker for almost ten years, would be a God that came from another world, even though they never close outside of the working relationship, but to have been there with the man almost every day makes her question her entire life.
"A God? A deity, just like Brom?"
He gave her a bittered smile, "I am sorry, I don't want to lie, but I need to."
With a scoff, Anne stared back at Bernard, "I presume you already knew about the book that has brought me here as the connection between this world and my old world?"
"You guessed it right, the book is the bridge between my world and your world." He added, "Don't be mistaken, I was guarding the book, but I can't destroy the bridge, it would probably be fatal for everyone who got inflicted by the curse, including my brother."
