Mental health, or something else, was Anne's first impression of Nathan's odd behavior. She doesn't know how to express her concern and tell her suspicion to Chief Hale. The illness is uncalled for in this world.
"Chief Hale, I would love to see the other healers who are being treated in the hospital right now." Instead of revealing her suspicion, Anne needs to make sure of this new and mysterious disease.
Chief Hale nodded his head. "Of course, I would love you to take a look at them." But before he stands up, his face goes to her once again. "Wait, I thought you have something that you need to speak to me?"
"It doesn't matter right now. This feels urgent, chief." She gave him reassurance, as Anne notice how stressful he feels right now. She wanted to help. After all, Chief Hale is nothing but kind to her.
