This is how Anne's mother spoke, almost every day, as she tried so hard to make an expression that is unfamiliar to her. Anne had a problem, she got a disease called Alexithymia, a personality trait characterized by the subclinical inability to identify and describe emotions experienced by oneself. She is on the higher spectrum, which means she can't even differentiate emotion and also can express her emotion.
Doctors actually have some positive answers by telling her parents that she can have a range of an expression with some medication and therapy, but it will take years for her.
