Accalia's POV
The weekend went by in a flash compared to how it would normally go. I kept cleaning the scratches and bite on my neck through the weekend to make sure it didn't become infected. I looked in the mirror to see the bite on my neck. It was red and purple around the puncture wounds and the inflammation had gone down from Friday. It would leave a nasty scar, but I didn't hate it. It seemed natural for me like it was meant just for me. I put concealer over it and finished putting my makeup on. Hopefully no one would notice it at school and save me from the sympathy of my fellow classmates.
I walked into the first period only to be drawn to the smell of pine and honey. The smell was amazing unlike anything I'd ever smelt before. Trying to find the smell led me straight to Easton. Today seemed different. Not the ass I'd known my whole life but a sexy brown haired 6-foot 8 guy. His eyes shined brighter than I remembered. His smile could have lit the galaxy itself. "Hello Accalia." his voice was as smooth and crisp as the winter morning. I felt mesmerized by him like I could melt into him with no regrets. But he seemed like this was what he was expecting from me. When I sat in my seat, he leaned in close to me making everything below my waist heat up. "What can I help you with Easton?" he didn't speak, he just looked at me instead. I didn't know how the words flowed out of my mouth, but they did in a split second. "Would you like to come over after school?" he looked away making me feel like a complete idiot before he turned back around to me. "Actually, how about you come over? I'll even drive you. "Before I could use my right mind to say no, I told him I'll meet him outside at 4.
The rest of the day I found myself stealing looks at him. In the hallway, lunch threw the windows of classes. It was like I couldn't get enough of him. I wanted to be with him. Breathe the air he excelled. It felt like I was turning into that April girl that followed him around like a lost puppy. But I couldn't help myself. It felt like it was where I meant to be. At his side never to leave him. He started to feel like home.
Easton's POV
I saw her stealing looks at me throughout the day which made my heart soar. The mark seemed to have taken affect faster than I thought it would. I started seeing what it felt like for Jeb and his wife. Always needing to steal looks at each other, the pit inside them that ached when they weren't close to each other. I didn't expect it to ever be me in their shoes but here I was needing to be near her. My father told me when you marked your mate those feelings would only get stronger from the time that it happened. But with Accalia being human I was feeling it twice as hard. What worried me was what was the pack going to think. My mate was Accalia Snow. The granddaughter to Alvin Van Snow the man that killed the man that killed my grandfather after my grandmother gave birth to my father just for sport. When the elders of the pack found out it would be hell on earth.
Accalia's POV
The last bell rang at 3:30 which gave me exactly thirty minutes to comb, brush, and do full makeup, and drench myself in country apple perfume from bath and body works. After I made sure I looked like a couple thousand bucks I hurried to the front of the school to meet Easton. As I walked out the doors, he was standing with the passenger door open and ready. The drive there was magical as if had come out of a fairytale. Driving up to the house made me feel like my heart had skipped a beat. It was amazingly breathtaking. "Close your mouth darling you haven't seen the best part." Rasing an eyebrow it was like he read my mind. "The best part would have to be my bedroom."
