Chapter 12 - CHAPTER 11- Lion's Den part 3

Daemon POV

267 AC

The feast ended and I was in a food coma to remember what had happened. It turns out that one should not be a glutton, since I barfed a lot the next day and became sick. I hate this baby body. Aerys did come and visit and told me how much fun it would be when I grew up and became hungover like him. Gods I wanted to beat his ass.

For the next two days, Gerion came regularly to visit me and brought with him some books which I read. After what felt like an eternity which was just three days, the maester of Casterly Rock allowed me to continue as normal. That is when the real adventures of me and Gerion began.

I had told him to bring me a map of Casterly Rock and when he did there were some areas that were missing and when I asked him why were they missing he told me that it still was not mapped out fully. It truly amazed me about how ridiculously massive the imagination of martin was in order to create this world in which I currently lived. We started from the highest floor of the Rock and descended downwards, with barry and mary being my constant companions. Even they would become tired by the end of the day since in Barry's case I would make him carry me around. You could say it was the perks of having an awesome bodyguard.

In the second week of my stay in Casterly rock I had finally reached the dungeons, and boy were they terrifying. Despite the grandeur and allure of Casterly rock as a whole, there were some parts which were outright scary.

It was there where I saw the lions which were kept in the dungeons by the father of Tywin Lannister, Tytos Lannister. It was the first time in this life of mine when I had come this close to a creature that would be able to kill me. So me using my big toddler brains had asked Barristan to not follow me which he outright refuse which resulted in me disappearing.

Now here I was in the dungeon with a lion staring at me. Although It made me nervous I still did not seem to waver. I guess Aerys's talk of us being superior to every other creature had resulted in me losing some of my brain cells.

"Daemon, you should not go near him I heard he bit out the hand of the previous keeper", said Gerion in a slightly fearful tone. But I did not stop Instead I went closer to the cage. I could see the lion observing my every movement. It made my heart beat faster than ever before. I felt a rush of energy which made me want to go closer to the dangerous animal.

My heart started beating faster, while Gerion's voice started becoming louder and louder. As I was a foot away from the cage I stared directly into the eye of the Lion and wanted to see what he would do. He came a bit more closer and lied down right In front of me. I slowly raised my hand and tried to touch the lion, and just as I was about to touch him, I suddenly felt a jolt which made me realize that Gerion had pulled me back. I was about to blast him for interrupting me but that was when I saw Barry entering through the door with many soldiers and servants alike, and the worst part of it was that he seriously seemed pissed off.

But not all was lost, I took the secret play out of the playbook and gave him something which would make even the maidens fall, it was none other than my secret weapon, Puppy dog eyes.

Barry showed a bit of hesitation and I was very close to winning when suddenly the rows of servants and soldiers parted ways, and In came Tywin Lannister and he seemed relieved but he must have suddenly seemed pissed off which made me and Gerion quiver In our boots. I guess it was a good three years spent In Westeros because the next thing which Tywin said made me rethink why I had run off alone with Gerion in the first place.

"My prince it seems It is high time I have a chat with you in my solar".
