She inquired, and William's expression darkened so deeply to the point she had to raise her eyebrows at him in confusion.
"Whoa! What's with the killer look? It's just a simple question." Her lips curled into a smile and she stood up from the sofa.
"Williams, we both know that you didn't return here just in the name of visiting home. You're here for a reason. A plan! I may be the youngest, but I am the smartest."
She smiled even more widely at him and walked nearer to him, then bent down to get her face closer to his.
"Others, including father, might not perceive the fishy smell lingering around you, but I can. And even if you don't spill it... Williams, give me a few days and I will figure it out. I will reveal your secret."
She grinned evilly and completely frustrated by her presence, Williams gripped her hand that was about to touch his face and looked at her with deadlines in his eyes.
"Get out!" He ordered her with anger in his tone, and Julia chuckled softly.
She snatched her hand from his grip and rubbed the part that had already turned red as a result of how tightly he gripped her wrist.
"I will go, but remember, you're just adopted. Meaning, one step wrong... tsk... bullseye. You're down."
She chuckled even louder this time around, and without wasting any more time, she turned around and walked out of the room, shutting the door behind her.
A deep breath exited William's nose, and he stood up from the couch.
His hands clenched into tight fists, and his jaw tightened in what seemed like rage.
"We will see about that." He scoffed and walked towards the mini fridge to grab a can of beer.

Diana walked out of the guest room clad in a red short dress, which brought out her shape even though she was quite lean.
"Does it look good?" She asked, and Lisa slowly nodded at her.
"Yeah, it's fine." She replied in a low voice and, unsure of why she was suddenly moody, Diana walked up to her and took a seat beside her on the couch.
"What's wrong?" She inquired, and Lisa took a deep breath.
"You're what's wrong, Diana." She sighed and, confused by her statement, Diana turned her head to look at her.
"What... do you mean? Did I do something wrong?" She raised her brows at her, and Lisa tiredly rubbed her temples.
"I don't mean to sound rude anyhow, but... I am hurt, Diana. You're just becoming a different person. You're changing, so is your health. I have begged you to come live with me, but you said no. They are hurting you back there and your eating order is failing so badly. I just don't know what to say...anymore."
She pinched between her brows, and knowing what she was talking about, Diana stood up from the sofa and ambled towards the mirror.
She gazed at herself, and a pessimistic smile emerged on her face.
"I am sorry..." She said it in a whisper and tucked a few strands of her fiery red hair behind her ears.
Her blue eyes gazed at her reflection in the mirror, and a cynical long breath fled from her nose.
"It's not my fault, Lisa. I can't just leave. He will drag me back to hell and it will be a double hell. "
She explained, and utterly confused, Lisa stood up from the couch and walked over to her.
She grabbed her by the shoulder and turned her around to face her.
"What hell, Diana? Explain it to me and let me understand! You have begun to keep secrets from me, which you never did before and-"
"Lisa, there are some things that you just can't know about! And if you do, it will cost you your life. Do you understand?"
She shook her head at her, and Lisa let go of her shoulder in tiredness.
She turned to the mirror and stared at her reflection.
She was a brown-skinned girl with a heavy afro and gray eyes that enhanced her beauty.
"Let's go." She said with tiredness evident in her tone and knowing that saying anything would worsen her mood, Diana obediently walked behind her out of the room.
They stepped out of the apartment, locked the door, and flagged down a taxi.
