Chapter 11 - Monarchy Shock

At the end of the dark alley, Trixon glanced back. A person in a golden robe and a silver crown with crystal eyes from Mount Salem walked towards him. He waited for the man to stop among the rays of light from behind the castle windows.

"Your Excellency Trixon, wasn't your opinion at the meeting too straightforward?"

Trixon looked into the gray eyes of the King of Zion who looked too young to be a king. His father—King Yuxin had to die in the Lunar Eclipse war five years ago. The war between camps in the monarchy that occurred during the Meluna Eclipse.

"What should I cover up if we are discussing war, King of Zion? I'm not your enemy either, am I?"

The King of Zion smiled a little. He looked out of the castle window for a moment. While Poppet pecked the air as he perched on Trixon's broad shoulders.

"It's not, but sometimes I always feel… because you are so powerful and noble, you can feel very far from the Monarchs."

"What are you trying to say, King of Zion?"

What Trixon understood about the King of Zion was that he always seemed strong on the outside. All the people and people of the Monarchy who lived on the edge of the kingdom always respected him as an Elf descended from Elves who were able to step on the status of King in the Monarchy. Within this monarchy, all the creatures of the Eaven became one. Whether there are people from humans, the Elves, or some other creatures from various parts of the Newtra country, all of whom enter the monarchy, they are also the ones the king can trust.

However, Trixon felt that this time, the King of Zion was a bit different.

"Why do I feel like you're helping the Folix and Abyss instead? I mean… I know what I'm saying doesn't make sense, but… wouldn't we have prevented the war early if we could have stopped the Abysses?"

Trixon had expected the man to think about this. "King of Zion, I know all of you are worried about that dark war. But the thing is, the more we worry about it, it ends up being useless."

"What do you mean?"

"Whatever has been foretold in this world, since fate wrote it down in Newtra's dungeon, then nothing will be able to prevent it. What you did to attract that human baby to the Academy of Light will be pointless. You're only going to bridle the baby."

"If it can prevent war from happening, shouldn't we try it? You said yourself that this world must be balanced."

Trixon looked into the eyes of the King of Zion. "You are right. But that's not how it works. Instead of you guys feeling scared, shouldn't we prepare another plan to fight the dark war?"

King Zion's face was shocked. He blinked then stared in amazement, "So you are really prepared if this war will happen? You certainly know that if this war is to happen then the only ones who can fight this are… you and your dragon child?"

Trixon gave a faint smile. "Maybe right. But after nearly a hundred centuries have passed, I often confer with the God of Light and look for a good opening to defeat the War of Darkness."

He had never said this to anyone but when Trixon was always thinking about this, what he had in mind every night always pushed him to reveal the plan.

For a while, he stared at the Zion King silently.

"Do you… have a plan that you didn't mention at the meeting earlier?" Zion asked doubtfully.

"It is not like that. I do have a plan but I don't know if it can beat the war. I also don't know if… I can muster it. You could say this plan… is not very mature yet."

King Zion sighed. "I see," he said. "At least, you have your own reasons for not supporting the opinion of the officials just now. Then, are you planning to tell me when the plan is ripe?"

Trixon nodded, "sure."

Approximately twenty minutes to arrive at Naya's hut which is behind Lune Temple. Actually the place wasn't really a temple. It was the old name of the temple that had been buried in the ashes of the Celena forest for a long time five hundred years ago. But because the land was fertilized by the God of Light by bringing rain for thirty whole days, the land was again called the Lune Temple.

It is located a bit away from the Bluelit forest. The forest is the outermost fence of the Celena Woodlands area. Called woodlands because eighty percent too, the Celena area is filled with lush forests. The heart of the city is only in the Lune Temple which is a trading area. The rest are foreign huts in the middle of a dense forest.

Han Zhong once went on an adventure with Grandpa Trixon when he was three years old. Grandpa used to have an old Elf friend who lived in Celena Forest. The Celena forest on the edge was a little closer to the Bluelit forest. But the place is more sacred and secluded. If in the forest there is an urban-like area in the Lune Temple, then it is inversely proportional to the Celena Forest.

The place is like the most silent forest that is very sacred. A place where the Elves of light prayed and glorified the power of the Moon, nurturing their orbs so that they could communicate directly with the Moon Goddess. There weren't too many of them living there but it made some of the Elves themselves torn apart by beliefs. The Celena Woodlands area was still too large if Han Zhong recalled his past adventures with grandpa.

As soon as he saw a shabby hut with only a thatched roof and a black stone wall that had been erected haphazardly, he slowed down for a moment. His silver-blue cloth robe was dragged by the grass around his feet. He glanced back, and found Finux nodding his long neck and then guarding in front of the hut.

"Thank you for helping me collect these woods. At least my mother isn't shivering tonight."

"Actually, what happened to your mother?" asked Han Zhong standing in the doorway. Inside the hut, there was only one rectangular room. The floor was covered with straw again. Especially on a wooden box bed without a frame on which some thick cloths are placed. There lay an old woman who closed her eyes with a pale face and furrowed brow as if in pain. On the other side of the room, he saw an old oak table with several green glass bottles. Then behind her was a hot stove where Naya had just poured warm water into a small jug in her hand.

She handed it to Han Zhong.

"Thank you," said Han Zhong as he took a small sip.

"My mom got poisoned," Naya answered briefly. "Lord Dragon, if you please. Since I wanted to thank you for your help today, will you accept this?"

When Naya took out the contents from the pocket on her waist, Han Zhong's gaze was restrained for a moment.

"That…"

"This is the Lunar Crystal I found in the Celena Forest. They say this crystal can be useful when we get lost. I don't know if it will be useful to you someday but… please accept it."

Han Zhong's hand was held in the air. He looked closely at the round crystal.

The crystal… was very similar to the crystal the Folix had brought.
