Chapter 1 - Prologue: Spider-Man No More..

As Peter lay in a crumpled heap amongst what was left of a concrete retainer wall in a pool of his own blood.

He couldn't help but be skeptical whether he'd make it out of this one this time.

"Yeah I always get up." he said to himself, as he tried once more to move…anything.

It's no use. It's seems like the big guy upstairs finally pulled my card this time.

I guess you can only play chicken with a train for so long, until it crushes you into a pulp, huh?

Peter thought, as he heard heavy footsteps approaching closer.

I've gotta stall for enough time so the kid can get up their and stop the collider. If Fisk succeeds he's going to kill everyone in this city, and maybe this dimension as we know it.

If he does open another dimension to reunite with his family from an alternate reality, he'll disrupt dimensional stability between the two.

Which in theory will cause them to collide and interfere in a fight for dominance and cause the continuum to tear.

Which in turn will probably, most likely, result in a black hole.

Yeah definitely can't let that happen.

Rents due tomorrow, and Mr Lee will kill me if it's late again. Peter thought, letting out a chuckle that sent a jolt of pain throughout his body.

"Oh, my poor everything." He said to himself cradling his broken ribs.

"Spider-Man!" Fisk exclaimed, as he finally entered Peter's view with a confident gait.

Standing at a staggering 2.01 m, and weighing a whopping 205 kg of pure muscle.

Fisk had the presence of an elephant, Wrapped up in a tailored Armani 3 piece suit.

which isn't as funny as it sounds when that elephant is angry and staring you down.

Peter grimaced at the thought, but let out a smart remark nonetheless,

"KingPin! Hey!! How's Business?" He said with mock surprise, ending in a coughing fit.

"Boomin." Fisk said, making a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes.

He then leaned over Peter's body and reached out with two fat fingers the size of sausages.

ripping off what remained of Peter's mask, while exposing his identity.

"Hey. I just got that back from the cleaners. Someone's gotta pay for that." Pete said weakly while trying to keep up his playful facade.

Fisk was not amused. He wadded up the mask and threw it to the ground and crushed it under a fat foot.

He then raised his right hand and made a signal to what seemed to be no one, until a dark figure clad in what seemed to be an advanced combat suit materialized from the darkness and moved to his caller's side.

"Kill him." Fisk said, with cold eyes as the dark figure unfurled claws that would make the vulture envious, and moved to strike down at Peter's throat.

"Wait! Don't you want to know what I saw?" Pete shouted out, playing the last card he had at his disposal.

Fisk gestured for his subordinate to stop his attack.

"Well?" He said, with a bored look on his face.

"Look, I know what you're trying to do here, and I'm sorry to say this, but it won't work.

It won't bring them back. They're gone Wilson.

As the words left His mouth he could see Fisk's face darken, and he could tell that what he said definitely struck a nerve.

A primal roar came out of The KingPin that somehow suited him better than the cold exterior he usually wears.

As the behemoth of a man raised his fists in the air to crush Peter.

The familiar tingle and feeling of time slowing down, and his senses being heightened, washed over him.

But Pete knew that this was the end.

His Spider Sense had saved his life countless times before, even now it was screaming at his body to move out of the way in any way it possibly could.

But he just. Couldn't.

He was beaten. Broken.

Hell, he might even be partially paralyzed, but truthfully Peter was just. Tired.

He had saved New York countless times, even saved the world a few times as well.

And every time something even worse showed up that knocked him down to the ground, leaving him with contusions and broken bones.

But he always got back up.

Whether it be a punctured lung, or broken leg he always got back up to save the day.

Not this time.

He didn't have anything left to give.

Uncle Ben, I'm sorry but it looks like you're gonna be seeing my ugly mug sooner than you would've wanted.

I've tried my best to uphold and live by what you taught me. I just hope you're not disappointed.

Aunt May I'm sorry I never told you my secret, and I always made you worry. I just wanted to protect you.

And Mary Jane. I'll always Love-

CRRACK!!

As Wilson brought down his giant fists on Spider-man, crushing his sternum and skull.

He felt what he always felt.

Nothing.

In fact he hasn't felt anything since he lost his family years ago.

He wiped his hands on what was left of his ex-nemesis costume, and stood up and fixed his suit's lapel.

"Get rid of the body." He said to Prowler, as he shifted his large frame in the direction of the control room

What the KingPin missed was a scared Afro-Latino teen hiding behind a concrete pillar.

As Miles stared wide eyed in shock at the state of what was once his hero's body, he felt the urge to scream and then throw up. His self preservation being the only thing keeping him from a panic attack.

Looking at the tattered red and blue uniform with a face no longer recognizable except for blonde tufts of hair.

Miles couldn't take it anymore and ran.

He ran as fast as his legs would take him, while experiencing so many feelings at once that threatened to make him break down.

As he ran further and further away from the scene, three words kept repeating over and over in his mind.

I'm so sorry.

"Agghhh!!!! huff huff," Peter awoke suddenly in a state of panic and instinctually flipped into a combat pose.

At least he would've if he had a body to do so.

Right now he was a….well what was he exactly?

He didn't have any limbs and just phantom pains of where they used to be. It was an eerie feeling that would've made his skin crawl, if he still had skin.

Honestly it felt like being wrapped up in his web fluid.

In the early days of experimenting he accidentally set it off and it exploded all over him covering him from head to toe.

He was able to get out after a while with his strength, but after that he understood why the insects that spiders caught didn't like being wrapped up.

Well, criminals didn't like it too much either but that's besides the point.

What really matters is where am I?

"Ahem, maybe I can help you with that Spider-Man?" An elderly woman's voice called out.

A voice he knew all to well.

"MADAM WEB?!?!"
