Cole was awoken by the sudden feeling that something was wrong but he had no idea of what it was. He tried to go back to bed but was unable to. He even tried reminding myself of the important business meeting he had tomorrow but still wasn't able to fall asleep. After several failed attempts to fall asleep he decided to check on Ashley.
Cole gave a gentle knock on the door but there was no answer. He knocked on the door but still no answer.
"Ashley" he called in a voice not to loud and not to quiet.
There was no answer so he guessed she was asleep. He turned to leave when he heard a weak groan from inside.
This raised a sudden feeling of doubt in him and he knocked on the door, this time louder.
"Ashely!" he said in a louder tone.
His doubts turned to certainty and he knew something was not right.
"Ashely, can you hear me?" he said.
