Chapter 7 - What's Next

She quickly pulled herself back when a man donned in the black uniform representing his job turned around. She wasn't sure whether she had managed to escape his eyes or not. Her heart was throbbing against the wall and chest heaving heavily.

"Where shall I go now!?" She pondered as her orbs imminently moved around to find a better place to either sneak out or hide.

Meanwhile, Enrique was wincing in pain, his hand was tied around the wounded arm, trying to stop the blood splashing out of hole the bullet had made in his arm. Luckily it had touched his arm and couldn't get in because of her wrong shot. The fact that she managed to run out of here after shooting him was causing him more pain than the actual wound.

However, deep down he was satisfied that she could not escape from this mansion considering the thick security he had laid around the house. Had it not been the indemnity that she was still in here, he would have been knelt down with the excruciating pain piercing through his flesh like sharp shrills.

"Rogue!" He roared like a lion when the man rushed towards his boss carrying his radio phone next to his lips, as he was midway to give the instructions to his fellows.

"Yes, Boss!?" Rogue obediently asked.

He threw a pinning gaze at the man suggesting his disappointment over feeding these enormous bodyguard, investing money on their elite trainings, and after providing them the best salary packages, they failed to locate a girl within the walls of this house. His lips curled as he gulped the pain down his throat before he roared like a brave and thundering lion to shake the soul of every individuals whose ears could listen to it.

"The heck! You useless moneys. What use are you of me?

Where's she!" He thundered tho bolt the walls of the house.

Rogue knees shivered when he looked in those eyes reflecting a view of hell. His body froze, his tongue became immovable and he realized that he couldn't speak. Nor did he dare to.

Danielle who was just hiding behind the console, could clearly overhear their conversations. She stumbled on the floor when Enrique spoke.

"Boss, we had laid the security all around. She could not escape with such thick and professional security." Rogue's quivering voice reach to Danielle's ear. She didn't know what to do next. One thing was sure she could not escape from this house that easily and atleast in this date. It was either she surrender to the master and ask for forgiveness, which she was not going to do at any cost. Or she end up being caught up to punished by Enrique.

God knows, what was he going to do with her.

"I want that girl alive and untouched." He gridded his teeth.

Danielle felt her soul breathing for an instant when her mind processed these two words flying in to her ears, alive and untouched.

Though she had no idea whether she would remain alive and untouched after he had her presented in front of him.

She pulled herself back on her feet, yet still crouche behind the console. As she turned her head to her right she saw a door partially opened, streams of yellow light flowing in suggested it opened to the back arcade, considering the front door was where Enrique was standing right now.

"I've to do it." She mumbled making sure no one could hear her. Despite her guts were losing the patience, she tried to affirm herself by saying this.

"Yes Sir! We are trying our level best!" Saying this Rogue walked away giving instructions to others to check for the recording of the CCTV fixated all around.

It was a clever move and he regretted initially that why the heck he did not think of it before. Better late than never. He immediately rushed out of the main door to descend the stair leading to the batch of men guarding the front area, their hands were firmly placed around the weapons, to raise them the moment they caught up the girl walking out yet making sure their fingers did not press the trigger out of this boiled enthusiasm.

Amidst this chaos, she crawled herself to that door, but unfortunately, she could not hear the last instructions rogue gave to the men.

Her crippled struggling soul beamed ever since she came here, carefully she slide the door open enough for her body to get through it. On her knees and hands she slinked out of there.

"I made it." She said getting on her hips, the pale light streaming down the skies hit on her face and made her scrunched it up, her eyes pinched in before she finally made effort to combat with the sunlight and drag the shutters of her eyes. All the light turned black once again. It seemed like the sun had hid itself behind the walls as the monster prevailed back. A fearful air crept all around, the tree shrunk their leaves and flowers dropped their heads as they sensed the upcoming storm associated with sheer violence. Though no one had the idea about the nature of this violence.

"How far a rat could run, at the end it has to come under the claws of the cat."

A familiar coarse yet painfully wincing voice get in her bubble occupied with celebrating her shortlived victory, and compelled her to open her eyes.

She forgets to blink her eyes, and breath again. Danielle could not see the stream of light which she followed to reach there. It was all dark, and gloomy. The air was insufferable, she grew short of air. Before she could tried to open her mouth to gasp some fresh air to survive this shock.

A darkness occupied her.

It all went silent and blank.

All the men standing behind him jumped on their feet when she bumped on the floor like a lifeless flesh.

Enrique stood there with an uncertain air swirling around him. It took him moments to process his next step.

What made him act like this. He had the blood of, God knows how many men, but his soul never scared as much as after seeing her fainting.

All the eyes turned towards her for the next order. Obviously, no one dared to get her body up.

Everyone loves their hands.
