For a few days, I bounced around wherever I went, happily showing off Adrian's mark and forgetting all about my worries until I remembered that I still didn't know what had happened to Jane. That is why I was here, standing right in front of Adrian and demanding to know.
"I think you're better off not knowing." He said, his eyes not once leaving mine.
"I want to know."
I insisted.
"Well, I killed her." He shrugged.
As I watched his nonchalant expression, I felt like my life was being scattered and rearranged to be something entirely different.
"You killed her?" I whispered.
"Yes, and I won't apologize for it." He stated adamantly, and I walked over to him angrily, and hit him on his chest.
"Your apology wouldn't fix this, it wouldn't fix me!" I yelled in his face and hit him again.
"I already felt guilty that all the other ones were killed because of me, and you just went ahead and killed this one!??"
