"Okay." I shrugged, and my hand reached behind me where my shirt was torn and my bare skin exposed.
"But not right now, I'd like to have some time to myself." Or more like I'd like to try in private and see if it'd come out at my will.
King Nicholas nodded and Tara smiled a little. That was my cue to leave. I walked pass them, and almost immediately, Tara's voice halted me on my steps.
"The human,"
She started, and I turned to stare at the back of her head because she didn't turn to stare at me.
"The human that you placed in Court Cat's care, she's here."
She finished.
"What?"
My breath seized all of a sudden.
"She's awake and she's also here."
I didn't wait for her to say anything else before I raced into the castle. My eyes looked everywhere and anywhere.
