I searched around for the man or the other two that had held him down, but I saw none. They were just gone.

I spared one last look at Jacques, before engaging in the battle. Combat came in handy. I convinced the minds of as many of the enemies that weren't immune to me, that it was a lot safer down inside the deep hole between the split ground, and they ran right into it, falling to their deaths.
