Adrian sighed.
"Try to retract your wings." He stated, and my shoulders slumped in disappointment.
"You can't do that."
I argued.
"Do what?"
"Change the subject."
He stared all over my face for a long time, making me slightly self conscious, before asking,
"What do you want me to do then?"
"Face it. Apologize."
"I did that." He frowned.
"No you didn't. Blame me for your actions, that's what you did."
"Okay!" He exclaimed with a slight flay of his arms. He looked frustrated.
"I'm sorry for everything." His voice lowered as he raked a hand through his hair with his head bowed. He looked exhausted, like he was finally giving in to the weight of his responsibilities.
"It's just...the pressure, it's more now than ever."
He turned to stare straight into my eyes.
"The expectations... they're choking me." I stared unrelentingly into his dark eyes, feeling my heart reach out to him.
