"Dropping it never worked for me." I replied cheekily, trying to lighten the gloomy atmosphere, but she didn't even attempt to smile.
"Okay, I can see you're really not in the mood to joke around, I should le-"
"Master!" Amra's voice broke in cutting me off, and I turned to stare at her as she advanced.
"Master," she said and bowed a little after coming to a halt in front of me.
"Okay, let's go over this again, Amra. Call me by my name at least when we're alone, It can't be that hard."
"We are not alone." Her soulless eyes moved away from me to rest on Cinthia who was still standing behind me.
I rolled my eyes at her and sighed.
"Cinthia is a friend." I replied.
"Really?"
She didn't sound intrigued or enthusiastic like she should have sounded. Her tone was dry and clearly not pleased with my words.
