"What happened?" He frowned.
"N-nothing."
I forced a wide smile at him and turned to stare at Mr ghost with a scowl on my face.
I could imagine Adrian following my gaze to see what I was staring at.
"We have a lot to discuss, there's no time for that, sorry." Mr ghost smirked at me.
"Sera, are you sure you're okay? What are you looking at?"
I turned back to Adrian immediately.
"Yeah. Yeah! I'm good. Never been better. Uh, I just really have to go."
I turned away from him in a haste, headed for the door.
"Go where?"
He called after me.
"Somewhere!"
Immediately my hand touched the door knob, Adrian's hand rested on it, stopping me from turning it, and I turned to stare up at him.
"What is going on?"
"Nothing." I replied firmly, and for a split second my eyes darted away from his to look at Mr ghost who was standing a few feet away with his hands in his pocket as he watched.
