Chapter 43 - Mission 1

Today in the hall of missions inside Lhney Academy, Aolig stood looking at the various missions. She doesn't know which mission to take.

All of a sudden her eyes lit up. She saw a mission in the epic category: "a spirit stone have been located at the border of Lhney Academy and the Barbarian land.

The Barbarians and the Lhney Academy have been fighting over it for some time now. Lhney Academy requires a great dao sage to hold down the fort."

She went to the person in charge

"Sir, I want this mission," Aolig said holding the mission. The man looked at it and was surprised.

"Saintess, you should reconsider. That place is really violent and the time is indefinite," the elderly man advised kindly.

Aolig is now the saintess of Lhney Academy and she is deeply loved and respected among her peers and the older generation.

"Don't worry sir, I know my measure. I can do it," Aolig said politely.

After which she was assigned the mission and given relevant information and the map of the area.

Aolig brought out her communication talisman and informed Tarh and Mavlak before she took out her warship shaped like a fish and left the Lhney Academy.

However outside the hall someone broke a talisman and smiled sinisterly after communicating with whomsoever he contacted.

Aolig was oblivious of this, even if she knew she wouldn't care because, she confident in her own strength.

The place the spirit stone mine is located is east of Exkaby towards the border of the Northern empire and the Barbarian land.

The distance without a ship will take up to two years, but with the flight ship and various teleportation portals along the way, it would take three months at least if there are no interceptions.

Aolig set up the restrictions of the ship and entered the room in the ship to cultivate, she couldn't waste the three months.

She brought out her high grade spirit stones from her spatial ring and held it and sat cross legged and entered a selfless state running her cultivation technique.

Two months later, she was getting closer to the border, but since three weeks ago, she felt like she was been monitored.

Even though it was just an intuition, she felt like she was definitely sure of that.

She has scanned the whole vicinity with her divine sense cautiously but she didn't see anything.

Another thing that is worthy of note is that her stomach is already bumpy, anybody that sees her now would know that she is pregnant.

She noticed the change a month ago. She was ecstatic, she couldn't wait to finish the mission and return to Exkaby she doesn't want to give birth outside the capital.

Somehow she regretted taking the mission, she always felt like something bad might happen, which is very scary.

As a sage, she has very few opponents, moreover she has the ability to leapfrog and challenge dao ancestor sages, her combat abilities is one of the best below the ancient sages.

After few minutes she came back and resumed her cultivation.

Somewhere in the chaos, a ship stopped for sometime. It was perfectly concealed.

"That woman is terrifying," a young man with a snake like eyes exclaimed in admiration. Others nodded.

They are a group of assassins hired to kill Aolig but it was not yet the time and place to take action.

"She is pregnant," one of them of exclaimed. It was a well known fact that Aolig is 'not yet pregnant' after many years of marriage.

Many people believe that the heavens are jealous.

She is extremely talented, married an amazing man, if they have a child, one thing is natural, the child is bound to be phenomenal. Of course the great dao will restrict their fertility.

That is why emperors especially female emperors rarely give birth. The best time to give birth is mortal-dust realm and immortal realm. One in a billion gives birth in sage realm!

"That means that the child would be extremely talented, what a pity," another man said with a sneer.

They couldn't care less, even they are a bit jealous of her.

A month later an area appeared in front of Aolig. She stopped her ship and alighted. The place looked a little deserted. She saw disciples besieged by barbarians.

She released her aura unscrupulously. The whole battlefield became quiet immediately. The students of Lhney Academy looked at her.

Every step Aolig took, a terrible coercion is released in the battlefield causing the Barbarians to feel a chill in their spines, even the barbarian sage present felt a terrible chill.

The temperature of the whole place drop to the lowest.

"Do I need to call you out?" Aolig said looking at somewhere. Her voice was like an oriole, but that was what made it terrifying.

"Saintess is here we are saved," a disciple said with pride.

"Yes, you Barbarians will suffer," another person said.

The barbarian sage snorted and came out from his hiding. He cautiously approached the battlefield.

"Young lady, I don't know how to address you," the sage said trying to find a common ground to talk. Aolig sneered in her heart.

"You are also worthy to know my name?" Aolig said with a sneer.

The Barbarian sage felt humiliated.

"Little girl you don't…," he didn't finish speaking before his whole finger froze and broke.

"Great dao sage!" the barbarian sage exclaimed in fear.

He couldn't believe that a young girl who is only in her twenties is already a great dao sage.

He gulped down a mouthful of saliva. 'What do I do? I can't die here, escape!'

The barbarian sage ran away. The disciples of Lhney Academy cheered, the barbarian disciples scurried away.

"Clean the battlefield, after I want to see the person in charge," Aolig instructed.

Just now she was very angry, the barbarians were bullying the disciples of her academy.
