The officer greeted the doctor and said
" I am sergeant Thomas from the calterburry police department ( CPD ) and I am here to investigation a report about the use of dark magic "
" officer, I am the one who made the report and this is the father of the child, who I suspect is practicing dark magic " Sammy said, pointing the officer to the direction of James.
James upon hearing that the doctor was just concerned about the aura of dark magic on his son and has called the police, calmed down. How could him being the commissioner of police not know that the doctor was just doing what every good and patriotic citizen of a country should.
' I am just glad that he isn't discriminating against my son for being a muddled blood and refusing to give him proper treatment ' James thought with a sigh of relief.
The officer walked towards the other person sitting in the office but was shocked when he noticed it was the commissioner of police.
" Good afte " the sergeant was in the process of greeting him when he noticed the commissioner hand rised telling him to stop
" Don't worry Thomas, this is just a misunderstanding, you can leave now, I will settle it " the commissioner said
Seeing that both of them seem to know each other, and that the officer was about to leave, the doctor thought that they wanted to cover up the crime. So he said
" what misunderstanding, officer this man and his son are practicing dark magic and I can prove it, if you think that both of you can cover up this crime, I will call my friend who is also a high ranking police officer "
' Do you think that you and that disease of a son can get away with what you have done Scott Free, keep dreaming, I will make sure you both rot in jail ' the doctor thought and sneered
" Please doctor this is just a misunderstanding, how can we practice dark magic, we are not even wizards " James tried to reason with the doctor
" You may not be, but I am sure that your wife and that thing you call a child are " Sammy refuted haughtily
" Look sir, it is really just a misunderstanding, me and my son went to investigate some group of teenagers involved in a murder case but they attacked us with dark magic, that is why the aura of dark magic is on my son " James tried to explain
" Lies, lies, the next thing you will say is that you are the commissioner of police " the doctor refuted
Seeing that the situation was getting out of hand, the sergeant decided to intervene
" Gentlemen, Gentlemen, please calm down. I am sure that if we sit down and talk this out peacefully, we can settle this misunderstanding "
" Officer, what are you talking about, this man is a criminal and should be arrested. What else can be expected from the parents of a muddled blood " the doctor said
" Do you a problem with my son " James asked as it was becoming obvious that the doctor was discriminating his son
" l don't have a problem with your son, but a have a problem with those freaks called muddled bloods, they are filthy animals and such be cast out of society " the doctor said matter of factly.
" As a doctor, you are supposed to know that discriminating someone because of their race, color or birthright is wrong. I expected better from you " James said disappointed
" spare me the lecture, I don't need people like you to tell me what is right " the doctor refuted
Not wanting to drag the matter any longer, because he still has to see his son and find a way to catch those kids. James decided to end the argument say
" How can I prove to you that we don't practice dark magic "
" If you want to prove your innocent, give me a million runestones " the doctor replied
Immediately the police sergeant heard what the doctor said, he nearly choked on his own saliva, even him a high ranking officer couldn't fork out a million runestones easily. he could tell that the doctor was trying to extort James.
Runestones are the currency being used in Garrett world, a runestones would translate to a dollar in our currency, so Sammy was technically asking for one million dollars.
' the ignorant are truly brave, After insulting this doctor insulted the commissioner and his son, discriminated against them and was even now trying to extort them. This is no longer bravery but suicide' the sergeant thought
" Are you trying to extort me " James was getting infuriated by the shameless doctor
" So what if I am, aren't you trying to escape your crime " the doctor replied
Getting filled up with Sammy shamelessness, James shouted
" sergeant Thomas, arrest this hooligan and get him out of my sight "
The sergeant immediately walked towards the doctor and cuffed him
" What are you doing, why are you arresting me, I have done nothing wrong, you are supposed to be arresting him " the doctor shouted at Thomas
" You have the right to remain silent, whatever you say or do will be used against you in the court of law, you have the right to an attorney and if you do not have one, you will be provided by the law " Thomas read the doctor his rights while taking him away.
