Chapter 5 - Brother.

The two kept walking in front of the countless gazes that were pointed at them, however it looked like the boy was not even phased. It felt like he was not even aware of his surroundings.

Well it was half true as Arthur thought about his weird dream during his time in coma, he still didn't know who that person was or if it was related to him comprehending and using mana.

Heck-He didn't even remember when he sensed mana for god's sake!

With him thinking about all this, Arthur didn't even know when they reached the garden. The garden was constructed inside the hospital with a lot of different types of plants nearby giving off a calming scent.

The boy closed his eyes and let his body be consumed in the fresh air that covered his figure.

Walking inside, the lady turned towards Arthur while explaining a few things.

"I shall now take my leave Arthur and if you have any problems then you can ask the man in charge of the garden here." She said while pointing a man standing beside the entrance and continued, "I will also be at the reception, you can call me if you have any problem. I will come to check your health tomorrow."

The boy just nodded at her and sat on the wet soil that held the plants, it's been 2 years since he was in a coma and he had finally felt mana.

Feeling that his body was extremely stiff, the boy started doing weird movements as he didn't know much about exercises. He jumped up and down a few times, he stretched his arms and legs and walked around.

The guard that was watching the boy was bewildered watching him acting so weirdly, and let out a sigh.

"Is this kid okay? Why is he behaving so immaturely? Well not that it matters but still..." The guard murmured not knowing that after absorbing mana, Arthur's 5 senses had improved and the boy clearly heard the man.

Feeling rather embarrassed, he immediately stopped and left the place with a flushed face. Well, it couldn't be helped... The boy was still 12 years old which was quite young actually.

Once he was inside his room, he lay there. Exhausted. The boy couldn't understand why he was still here, he had after all already been healed and is now able to do everything normal. In fact, except the slight stiffness he felt... The boy was almost fully healed.

There was also the fact that he was waiting for his sister to arrive here so that the two could leave together.

Arthur felt incredibly relieved that the day everything happened, his sister was not in the city or he didn't even know what could have happened.

The boy then rested for a few hours before waking up, it seemed that after being in a coma for so long; he didn't even feel like sleeping.

Leaving his bed, the boy walked towards one the book shelves in the ward and picked up a medium sized book that read.

[ General information related to Mana ]

"It's said that although every being was given a chance to enter this trial, the humans however only had an average aptitude with sensing mana..."

"While it is true that every single being has the capability to control mana, it is said to be highly generic. For example, a person with high control over mana has higher probabilities to have children with the same amount of control."

"However there are also cases where the same kids are unable to sense the mana around them. According to a recent report, it's confirmed that only 7 out of 10 people are able to sense mana with an average core completely formed around the age of 17."

"It will be confirmed that a mana core is formed when the person first awakens by a mana distortion around the person that deals damage to anything that comes in around it that lasts for a couple of minutes..."

"...Of course, it's needless to say that people born with a higher control over mana will have a mana distortion of longer periods. This is also a factor that shows the difference in each person's talent."

Arthur soon caught interest in the book and read it enthusiastically.

"...Mana can be used in a number of ways. One of them is the ability to enhance our body with mana ( Warlock ), while another one focuses on using the mana present in the surroundings ( Mage )."

"...Warlocks mainly focus only on channeling the mana inside them to strengthen themselves and their attacks."

"A Mage uses the mana present in its surroundings to cast various spells at a range or directly at the target..."

[ Limitations ]

"While the Warlocks are able to release a great amount of strength and attacks, they are weak in ranged attacks..."

"The Mages although possess the ability to manipulate the mana of its surroundings, casting a spell takes time unlike the Warlocks who use most of the mana stored inside their cores..."

"... The Mage's basically manipulate the mana of their surroundings with the help of the mana inside their core which is used as it's fuel which further slows down the casting speed. Casting speed also depends on the talent of a person..."

[ Talent ]

"While both types use mana as a source to fight, the two have different bases on which their talent or prowess is measured..."

"The Mage's prowess or talent is measured by the strength and the casting speed that a mage has while a Warlocks talent is measured with the rate of absorption of mana in their mana cores and the strength."

It was then that the door to his room slammed open with the figure of a petite girl coming in his vision.

"Claire!" Arthur screamed, looking at the 10 year old girl that panted while standing frozen beside the entrance. She had long black hair, crystal green eyes, a small face with baby fat still present on it and pale skin that matched her figure.

The girl wore a long frock painted in hues of pink and white as she focused her gaze on the boy sitting beside the bed. Water flooded her eyes as she spoke in a cute childish voice.

"Brother."
