Despite managing to break the Sword Champion's face from the dropkick he did earlier that landed straight on its face, it didn't manage to crush its skull completely and thus still alive. It caught Pati off guard since he thought the battle was over.
In that dropkick, he puts everything he has so it makes sense why he thought it was over.
But turns out the Sword Champion is not dead and managed to injure him severely, Pati feels the electricity of pain traveling throughout his entire body from being slammed onto the ground. Some of his bones are definitely broken.
