Everything that a peak of a normal human can sense, he can sense better and more vividly.
Back then when he caught the sniper that is a part of Abby's group, he doesn't have the Extreme Senses passive skill but he managed to pinpoint the sniper's location and the bullet. But now, he didn't see this coming.

With Red and Blue's levels now that has reached the twenties and have their Chaos allocated into their stats, most of the weapons from prior to the apocalypse wouldn't work on them. Just like the attempt by the rioting survivors before, a knife made of steel even bent when it was stabbed into Pati's skin.
