Smokes rising to the dark skies and bones burning in the flames. The Village had a big mess and the number of the dead numbered more than hundred.
Vin knelt beside Ita, Shielding him from the monster who is before his eyes.
"Answer!" Alucus commanded.
"Why don't you look for the girl yourself and stop asking stupid questions. When you came in here, did you see–"
Vin felt a stab in his stomach. The pain caused a small yet large amount of blood to slowly drip from his mouth.
"You were saying?" Alucus again asked with a smile and also satisfaction from seeing him in pain.
Vin remained silent. His head lowered and eyes on the floor. After a few seconds, he spoke up, "Hey, Knock knock!"
"Is this some silly play? You still have energy to tell stupid jokes when you are dying."
"Answer. Knock knock?" Vin persistently asked.
"Have it your way. Who's there?"
"Your DEATH!" Vin kicked him away. Far enough for him to have enough time to bring the broken shards together.
