After checking his stats, he wanted to save the beast chords and crystals he earned. He couldn't render the crystal to his school, because they would have doubts toward him because they believe he has no ability, and Ryusu can't kill enough of beast; because it drains more energy.
Looking at Clara; he saw that she was cleaning away dust from her cloth and not facing him. He wanted to save the things but he didn't want to perform magic in Clara's eye because he still has a lot to explain.
