'Why do I feel like I'm being sold to these men,' Rosina thought while looking at the Queen's retreating form inside the palace door.
Rosina was dumbfounded, and the ladies looked at her while whispering gossip to the other ladies. Felissa went to her since she was her only friend at the event.
"Don't mind them. They are just jealous," Felissa stated loudly, ensuring those nearby ladies would hear. Then she pulled Rosina out of the room, away from their prying eyes.
"Why did it happen to me?" Rosina whispered and rubbed her face from stress. All she wanted was to avoid any attention directed to her, but she always ended up attracting their attention.
"Because you deserved it," Felissa answered and giggled. "Your parents would be delighted to hear the news. After all, only one she-wolf was chosen among the participants as the moon of the night."
