Chapter 2 - The Wedding

Back in the bridal room, Eulalia Throndsen sat quietly without a care and let others fix her makeup. Layers after layers of makeup was applied but it still could not cover the paleness on her face.

A joyous wedding march started to play outside the hall. It might not be a wedding that everyone was looking forward to, but it's still a wedding, nonetheless.

Eulalia Throndsen went to the hall dressed in the wedding dress that she chose herself. She made and arranged everything personally. There were no wedding photo shoots, no engagement party. Even in the midst of preparation, she did not see the groom.

Eulalia stood in front of the alter alone. She bit her lips out of sheer nervousness. Everyone present at the wedding was eyeing her with irony and contempt. She was standing at the alter all alone without her groom. It was definitely going to be in the headlines the next day.

Seconds turned into minutes and every minute felt like an hour for Eulalia. But, she believed in her heart that he would show up. Not because of love, but because of hate....

He loathed her.....

When the guests finally started to show their impatience, a man in a suit walked in with one hand in his pocket. The classically styled suit wrapped his tall and well built frame perfectly. His flawless features resembled a well carved sculpture. His strides were strong and steady. His slightly thinned lips were pursued in a way that made him seem heartless.

This man was not used to laughter. His lips curled up into a blood thirsty sneer as his eyes landed on his bride to be, Eulalia Throndsen.

Vladimir Calderon strode over with his long legs. It only took a few strides for him to reach Eulalia. He lowered his head and stared at the woman in front of him before pulling her hand.

Eulalia suddenly felt a pang of pain on her ring finger. She looked down only to see a pink diamond ring on her middle finger. The diamond was very large and beautiful, but it was small for her finger. The ring is not of her size. Ultimately, it was bought for her sister by this man.

Eulalia felt like her heart was being squeezed tightly. She thought that no matter what happens, she won't feel it anymore. But she was wrong. Everything this man does, small or big, will always affect her.

"Come, my bride." Vladimir's voice lacked tenderness. He mostly pulled Eulalia along. When she took a glimpse of their hands which were interlocked together, her fingers were already white with the grip he had on her hands. She bit her lower lip tightly to stop herself from uttering any sound of pain.

Eulalia walked on the red carpet together with Vladimir. To be exact, she was dragged by Vladimir all the way. Eulalia struggled to match his walking speed with her short legs.

She was wearing ten inch high heels when all of a sudden, she twisted one of her feet. She lost her balance and fell forward and Vladimir decided to release her hand at the same time which allowed her to fall forward.

In that instant, she fell down with a loud bang. Her white bridal gown flew around exposing her long, slender legs and vaguely revealing her white silk underwear.

Paparazzi went in to frenzy trying to take her photos. Eulalia frantically pulled on her gown as she felt a wave of misery and humiliation wash over her.

Vladimir did nothing. He just stood there and watched as the paparazzi took photos of her embarrassed self. He stared at her miserable state with the corner of his lips curled into a smirk.

Sneers echoed everywhere and Mr. and Mrs. Throndsen's faces were particularly ugly.
