"I will tell you the truth, Scarlett." Ezra says with promise in his eyes.
"Then tell me now." Her eyes twinkled with hope and curiosity.
"Not now, I'll tell you tomorrow first thing in the morning." He explained. "I want you to sleep peacefully, if I tell you now; you won't be able to sleep. I can't give you the stress Scarlett, you are still healing from everything you have gone through. I just want you to wait for a few more hours before knowing what really happened."
"Fine, I'm going to change now." She brushed past Ezra and walked out of the bathroom leaving him alone.
As the sun began to set and the day came to a close, the tension between Scarlett and Ezra continued to linger in the air. They had just had a heated argument, and Sarah was still fuming as they climbed into bed.
She lay on her side, with her back to Ezra, refusing to speak to him. He lay on his back, staring up at the ceiling, feeling the distance between them.
