"Does it hurt?" He asked, brushing his fingers over it as she convulsed by the contact.
"The bruise or truth?" She asked, as his grip got tight on her but no matter how hard she tried to deny it, she was still relaxed in his presence.
"Both…" She turned to look at him, tilting her head a bit, mixing her unsatisfactory tranquillity with the distress gleaming in her eyes and replied honestly to his somewhat painful words. "Yes… both hurt."
Ezra sighed softly, he leaned down at her and pressed his forehead against hers. "I wonder why you would feel so insecure about Carly, she means nothing to me. All I care about is you Scarlett."
Scarlett still couldn't bring herself to ask why Carly came to visit Ezra in the hospital. She herself doesn't know if it's jealousy or insecurity.
"I don't know Ezra, maybe I just felt like you treated her differently. As if she's special to you."
