Here there are many characters first there is Grusha, Dying man, Michael, Grusha's parents ,their friends, a lot just to mention.

We see Grusha's parents who are very greedy they are forcing their daughter to be married by this dying man just because his parents are rich.

In other hand dying man is very sick not only being sick, he doesn't know Grusha at all. He doesn't have any emotional feeling towards Grusha and here are their parents forcing them to marry.
